A funny moment from a Dior fragrance specialist: for the original fragrance, François Demachy used ylang-ylang from the Comoros. But for the new J'Adore in Joy, they chose a different variety of ylang-ylang that grows on Nosy Be, off the northern coast of Madagascar, and it has salty notes 😔

This flanker simply amazed me. The notes in it evoke such associations with the sea for me, but not just with salty splashes, rather with something sweetish and salty at the same time. Although it's not an aquatic fragrance, it still brings those thoughts to mind. The femininity and sillage are simply stunning, and despite the concentration, I really want to have it.
