It is perfect for cool evenings or special occasions, providing an aura of confidence and irresistible magnetism that slowly unfolds on the skin, transitioning from sweet initial chords to a floral heart and a warm final note.

Sillage and Application Recommendations

The sillage of Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau de Parfum is rated as medium, ensuring a balanced yet noticeable presence without overwhelming others.

For optimal effect, spot application on the skin in pulse points, such as wrists and neck, is recommended so that the fragrance naturally unfolds with body heat.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I applied the fragrance in the store and struggled for a long time trying to understand where the 'bloody' start of Hypnotic Poison had gone. In this version, it's simply not there. The fragrance is, of course, deep and dark, with smoky notes, but at the same time, it seems too soft and feminine. It creates the atmosphere of an incense shop, where the air is saturated with the smell of burning sticks and sandalwood. I want to wear it in the rain in summer, but the base disappointed me. A bitter, woody-powdery trace remains on the skin, and that's not pleasing at all. I want a decant to fix this misunderstanding )

The smell of sweets and licorice, like jasmine, almond, and vanilla, in various combinations. This all reminds me of Lolita Lempicka, which appeared on the market much earlier. In perfumery, there's a whole world of such fragrances. Many analogues, and everyone will find what suits them best. Dior, of course, is beautiful and calm, with a good composition. But on me, it seems too modest and stays close to the skin. From such sweet fragrances, you want them to leave a sillage!!!

The jasmine in this fragrance evokes a real storm of emotions in me. From hate to passion - there's no middle ground. I can't just feel indifferent about it, it's really potent. Every time I apply it, it unfolds differently, and that's annoying. Sweet, vanilla-smoky, as if it's suffocating. Damn, maybe I'll buy it after all? 😤

From the first moments, a powerful wave of sweetness is felt, as if embracing you. Bright jasmine appears a little later, adding mystery. This fragrance envelops you with floral and sweet notes, not letting go until evening. It's incredibly feminine, yet persistent. Personally, it's too sweet and alluring for me, but there's a beauty in that 🌸

I got lost, as if in an abyss. I was always wary of Dior fragrances, they seemed too complex and not for my perception. But this version simply captivated me. The vanilla here is multifaceted, with a slight hint of vanillin, but not in your face, rather with woody, even bitter, smoky notes. So dense, so languid and warm, that it's impossible not to get lost in it 😔

I was looking for the promised almond in this fragrance, but alas, I didn't find it. I heard that the first versions were more interesting, but I can't compare. For me, Hypnotic is a stuffy, dusty vanilla that smells monotonous and doesn't delight with bright development. Its longevity, of course, is impressive, the sillage is such that it can live on clothes for weeks. But, honestly, it didn't really grab me at all, among all these "poisons" it's just a miss
