Description of the composition

The note pyramid of London evolves as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of Gallivant is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

From the first breath you meet grassy-green top notes: Cucumber and Violet leaf. These 2 notes shape morning coolness sensation that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you notice Iris, May rose and Rose holding a opulent floral direction.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Aquatic, Floral, Wood and Powdery with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Leather enrich the profile without taking over.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Floral, Green, Wood and Leather. The palette also extends to Whiteflower. At family level the scent maps to Floral and Leather.

Taken together London sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This is some strange mix, like cucumber water with violet lemonade and dried roses. At first, it seems interesting, but then patchouli comes to the forefront, and everything turns into a regular oriental fragrance. The longevity isn't impressive, and the sillage isn't memorable at all 🤔
