Fragrance information:

Giardino Benessere launched Tethys in 2018 — and it was a brilliant move. By character, a unisex fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Paolo Terenzi. The fragrance belongs to the sweet, wood, and floral groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of gourmet can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. A fragrance from the Titans collection, in perfume extract.

The sillage is extremely noticeable — noticeable, but never overwhelming. Country of origin — Italy, and that already says something about the quality. Tethys Giardino Benessere unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Tethys unfolds as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The style of Giardino Benessere is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract sets the depth and body this composition needs.

Right at the start you meet caramel-milky first notes: Chocolate, Coffee, Jasmine and Vanilla.

When the opening settles you notice Ambergris, Jasmine and Rose keeping a sweet-resinous direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Gourmet, Floral, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Floral, Gourmet, Sweet and Wood. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Ambery and Musk.

Taken together Tethys sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Chocolate clearly dominates here, its aroma is great for the cold season. In addition to chocolate, you can catch light notes of rose, patchouli, and coffee 🍫

I tried this scent again and, you know, I got the feeling it's like a continuation of Delox from the same creator. Rose and chocolate are clearly at the forefront here. But something about it leans more gourmand, whereas Delox feels more powdery 🤔

Chocolate, rose, and patchouli - sounds a bit too intrusive and old-fashioned. Reminds me of something from Mancera, but here it's even overkill with the intensity, and that nasty powdery note just kills it. I feel like this is for older ladies sitting in the theater trying to impress, but actually just annoying everyone 😒

This fragrance is just incredible! It's so rich and warm, it really warms you up on cold days. But at the same time, it's quite persistent, you wouldn't call it light. It's a winter scent, with bright patchouli notes, truly multifaceted. An excellent choice for winter ❄️
