Identity and History of Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum

Immerse yourself in the world of exquisite French perfumery with the women's fragrance Guerlain Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum, released in 1996.

This masterpiece belongs to the legendary house Guerlain, founded in 1828 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain and synonymous with refinement and innovation.

Champs Elysees is part of the eponymous Champs Elysees collection, reflecting the spirit of Parisian elegance and luxury, making it not just a fragrance, but a true journey to the heart of France.

Note Pyramid and Fragrance Development

The fragrance Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum offers a rich and multi-layered composition that gently unfolds on the skin, starting with playful fruity-spicy chords and transitioning into a floral heart.

Top notes such as anise and peach create a fresh opening, while in the heart, elegant flowers bloom, including rose and lily of the valley, adding tenderness.

The base with warm woody and gourmand notes, such as sandalwood and vanilla, ensures longevity and depth, leaving behind an unforgettable sillage that is perfect for creating a romantic image.

Positioning and How to Wear Champs Elysees

Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum is positioned as a women's fragrance with an eau de parfum concentration, guaranteeing intensity and longevity in wear.

Its medium sillage makes it a versatile choice for daily life, dates, or the office, without overwhelming others.

For optimal effect, it is recommended to apply 1 to 2 sprays on the skin, especially on pulse points, so that the fragrance harmoniously develops.

If you are looking for similar options, pay attention to Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue, M.

Micallef Ananda or Givenchy Amarige, which also delight with floral and fruity accents, but each with its unique character.

Creators and Impact on the Perfume World

The creation of this fragrance is the work of talented perfumers Jean-Paul Guerlain and Robert Granai, whose experience and creative approach gave Champs Elysees a unique character, combining tradition and modernity.

The release of this perfume in 1996 strengthened the reputation of Guerlain as an innovator in the world of floral and fruity compositions, inspiring many subsequent releases to experiment with notes.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum begins with a bright start, where the top notes include anise, black currant, melon, violet, almond and peach, creating a fruity-spicy introduction that immediately captures attention with its freshness and juiciness.

In the heart of the composition, elegant floral notes bloom: almond flower, hibiscus, lilac, lily of the valley, mimosa, peony and rose, adding tenderness, volume, and femininity, as if you are strolling through a blooming garden.

The base of the fragrance is built on warm and lasting notes: almond wood, benzoin, sandalwood, vanilla, white cedar and woody chord, which provide depth, longevity, and a soft trail, enveloping you with comfort and elegance.

This complex pyramid reflects the perfumers' craftsmanship, making the fragrance multifaceted, memorable, and perfectly balanced for those who appreciate exquisite details in perfumery.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance is definitely not suitable for warm weather, it truly unfolds in the cold. In the heat, it's just suffocating. I detect many flowers, especially lily of the valley and rose, they smell very vibrant

This perfume truly delights with its sillage, it's like it opens the doors to the world of the Champs-Élysées. But if you get closer, the impression changes - the mimosa seems lost in the dust, and the delight fades into the background. But the sillage... it's just amazing! Imagine walking with a huge bouquet of lilacs, mimosas, lilies of the valley, and one peony, and this wonderful scent trails behind you. That's how I experience the Champs-Élysées in the sillage 🌸

EDP and EDT are two completely different things. I would separate them onto different pages. The pyramid is the same, but their scent profiles are different. EDP is a dense, fruit-rich fragrance, so viscous and velvety. Whereas EDT is lightness, floral notes, sparkling like organza. For me, EDT leaves a more noticeable sillage.

A fragrance associated with girls, so simple and spring-like, full of joy. But it just didn't suit me, I don't feel it like I used to 😔 But for my daughter, it's absolutely perfect, it unfolds so harmoniously on her. Honestly, I'm even a little jealous of her))) It's important that a fragrance and its wearer are in sync. It often happens that a scent is great, but it doesn't match the person wearing it. And it's so necessary for it to feel comfortable and in unison

How delightful it is to smell this fragrance! It's simply magnificent, despite being released a long time ago, it still smells fresh and modern. No outdated notes, just femininity and charm! 🌸

What a stunning bottle, simply chic! The fragrance is incredible, it's so refined, soft, and warm, just like a hug. Suitable for both special occasions and everyday life. It develops simply magnificently. This is something divine! 😍

This fragrance is full of mystery and magic, it seems to envelop you in its atmosphere. As soon as I smelled it, I immediately knew I had to have it. Its development is a true symphony that captivates and doesn't let go. I want to inhale it again and again, it's truly captivating

At first it seems a bit stuffy, but then everything changes for the better. The fragrance combines floral, fruity, and even green notes. It's elegant and feminine!!! The sweetness level is just right. The fragrance pyramid looks impressive, but I don't pick up individual notes. The sillage isn't too loud, but it smells very beautiful. I think this perfume is perfect for spring. Truly, an excellent choice

The fragrance is really interesting, but I can't quite figure out if I like it or not. On one hand, it's very feminine and noble, but on the other - it's somehow too sunny for my mood. Its sillage is powerful, that's for sure!! Flowers and woody notes blend, creating something multifaceted, but sometimes it feels like too much. Spring is definitely felt in it, but I don't know if it will captivate me in the long run

I tried the eau de parfum in the heat, and it just blew me away. The opening was very heavy, lilies of the valley everywhere, and I'm not a fan of that scent. But after a while, they seemed to quiet down, and a light fresh aroma appeared, like a breeze with light flowers, which was pleasant. I can't precisely describe the sillage, but it lasts long on the skin, and that's good, because the base is really nice. Now I'm thinking of trying the eau de toilette; if there aren't as many lilies of the valley or they're not so intrusive, I might buy it. I didn't even think it could smell retro. Oh, if only it weren't for those lilies of the valley 🌸

The fragrance is truly impressive, suitable for any age and situation. It's versatile and always appropriate. I must note that it can be worn at any time of year

This fragrance doesn't evoke associations with spring for me. Rather, it reminds me of early autumn. The notes listed in the pyramid unfold in a different sequence on me. First, I almost physically sense apricot and peach. These are fruits, not flowers. The rose seems oily. In the initial accords, it's not overly cloying, but the sweetness feels viscous. For me, the perfume doesn't sparkle or feel airy. Then grapefruit and cedar appear, and the fragrance becomes more wearable. It needs to be worn out further. It plays, making you study it. Interesting, bright, suitable for autumn, but not for the very young. Quite languid, not for an office setting.

How sad it is to remember something that was so beautiful. This fragrance is a real gem. A bouquet of flowers that simply captivates: peony, mimosa, lilac, lily of the valley, and rose - all of this creates a feeling as if you're wandering through a blooming garden. On cold days, it unfolds differently: melon and blackcurrant become more prominent, while the flowers seem to recede into the background, leaving only a light, delicate trail. It's no wonder this perfume became a legend. From the first breath, it captivates and doesn't let go. Its longevity is simply amazing. Even after a shower, when you're tucked into bed, you still feel its faint echoes on your skin. This feeling fades, but the memory of it remains.

I tried the new version, which comes in pink packaging. Overall, it reminds me of the old scent, but the top notes have changed a bit. The base remained the same, which is great! The longevity is the same as the original. Now I plan to buy it, but only abroad. I don't want to encounter a fake or something of poor quality.

How airy, delicate, and floral it is! 🌸 I was shocked when I found out this perfume came out back in the nineties. I couldn't even imagine it would sound so relevant and fresh. This is the scent of true femininity! ✨
