Sweet Violet with an Italian Character

Introducing Hilde Soliani Sweet Parmesan Violet — a fragrance launched in 2016 as part of the Momenti collection.

This is a unisex composition that embodies the playful spirit of Italian niche perfumery. Brand founder Hilde Soliani, perfumer Hilde Soliani, is known for her love of vivid and unexpected combinations.

The fragrance belongs to the Floral and Gourmand families and comes in an eau de parfum concentration. Its trail is rated as very strong — this fragrance certainly will not go unnoticed.

Inspiration and Character

Sweet Parmesan Violet is an ode to contrasts. Its name hints at the savoury tang of Parmesan, yet the heart of the composition is sweet violet and sugar.

It seems that Hilde Soliani decided to play with our expectations: instead of austere classicism, there is bold sweetness; instead of a refined violet, there is gourmand softness.

The fragrance feels like a smile: light yet rich, with a touch of mischief. It is perfect for those who love to stand out and are not afraid to experiment.

Notes and Sillage

The fragrance is built around two key accents: Sugar and Violet. Sugar creates a cloyingly sweet base that envelops and warms, while violet adds powdery freshness and a delicate hint of bitterness.

This combination evokes candied violet petals — a dessert you want to taste again and again.

The fragrance unfolds immediately, without a long prelude, and stays with you throughout the day thanks to its strong trail.

When to Wear It and Who It Suits

Sweet Parmesan Violet is an ideal choice for the colder months, when you crave comfort and sweet emotions. It will suit both women and men who appreciate gourmand notes.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This is a real sugared violet! No powder, just fresh violet flowers, as if they've been sprinkled with sugar and are ready for cooking. Parmesan is almost imperceptible; sometimes a light sour milky aroma is heard, but mostly the sweetness covers everything
