Description of the composition

The composition of Leger is built as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Jacques Battini is clear from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

In the top tier you detect radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Bergamot, Birch, Lavender and Mandarin. These 4 notes set a burst of citrus freshness that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you meet Iris, Patchouli and ylang-ylang holding a harmonious floral direction.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Wood, Powdery, Amber and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Wood, Green and Floral. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Ambery, Musk and Gourmet. At family level the composition sits in Citrus and Wood.

Taken together Leger holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best judged on skin.

Sweet lavender with vanilla and powder. The fragrance is heavy, sweetish, too dense and distinctly feminine, with a slight old-fashioned touch, probably due to ylang-ylang. Outwardly it's not bad, but for me, it's too mature and unbearable 😒
