Kenzo 5:40 In Madagascar: A Universal Journey into the World of Fragrances

Discover Kenzo 5:40 In Madagascar, an exciting unisex fragrance, released in 2009 and created under the guidance of the talented perfumer Joanne Bassett.

This perfume, often known in Russia as "Kenzo Madagascar", is a vivid example of how Kenzo – a brand that has been a bridge between East and West since 1970 – embodies its philosophy through bold olfactory experiments.

Inspired by the exoticism of the island of Madagascar, it offers a unique sensory adventure that will captivate both beginners and seasoned perfume connoisseurs.

Positioned as a unisex fragrance, the Eau de Toilette Kenzo 5:40 In Madagascar is perfect for those seeking versatility and lightness for daily use.

Its medium sillage ensures a subtle but memorable presence, making the fragrance suitable for the office, dates, or informal meetings.

Thanks to its balanced composition, it unfolds softly and naturally, without overwhelming others, making it an excellent choice for any season – from spring freshness to autumn coziness.

For optimal impression, it is recommended to apply 1 to 2 sprays on the skin so that the fragrance harmoniously blends with your natural chemistry, and 2 to 3 sprays on clothing for a more lasting effect.

This dosage allows controlling the intensity, highlighting the individuality of wear without the risk of "overdoing it".

Remember that on warm skin, the fragrance unfolds faster, so on hot days you can reduce the number of sprays, while still maintaining its charm.

The creation of Joanne Bassett reflects a deep connection with Eastern traditions, characteristic of the Kenzo brand, where exoticism meets elegance.

This fragrance strengthens Kenzo's reputation as an innovator in the perfume industry, demonstrating how the brand continues to explore the boundaries between cultures through scents.

If you enjoyed this unisex masterpiece, pay attention to similar fragrances such as Yves Rocher Vanille Noire, Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Absolue, and Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly Shine.

Each of them offers unique nuances in gourmand and floral accents, expanding your perfume journey.

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid Kenzo 5:40 In Madagascar begins with the delicate chord of lotus, which gives a fresh and aquatic start, reminiscent of tropical dawns.

At the heart of the composition, freesia with its floral sweetness intertwines with Virginia cedar, adding woody depth and stability.

The base concludes with warm and cozy vanilla, which gently envelops, creating a long-lasting and comfortable finish.

This harmony of floral, woody, and gourmand notes makes the fragrance multifaceted and intriguing at every stage of its development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

It seems the price is lower at RG. Or is it just me? The scent is truly gorgeous, so vanilla and enveloping, it just transports you to another world 🌸 At first it's a bit soapy, like lotus, but then it unfolds on the skin, becoming so fresh and captivating. Simply mesmerizing!

I don't know how to express all my attachment to this fragrance, but I'll say it's been my companion for a whole year and a half. This combination of freshness and tenderness, lotus with vanilla, is simply beyond words. The scent, pure and unspoiled by chemicals, has become a symbol of everything sensual for me - yes, it's truly sexy and playful. And compliments pour in from everywhere. Men and women alike ask about it with equal interest. How can it be, a limited edition perfume, and I've been using it for so long? Learn, friends, to stock up on your favorite limited editions in advance. Even if not all of them come in handy right away, in a couple of years you'll definitely be happy to discover this unique fragrance 🖤

Light vanilla, not overwhelming, like a watercolor lotus - quite tolerable in summer. The evening tropical air brings sweetness and coolness, but there's something bitter in it 🌅

A fragrance with Madagascar vanilla and ambroxan, and even lotus, looks like something interesting, but in reality, it's just a collection of smells. The cedar they added is not impressive at all - it's sort of faceless, as if taken from a store shelf. Overall, it's all quite banal and unoriginal. Longevity is so-so, sillage is barely noticeable, not like it's particularly memorable. You can try it, of course, but I wouldn't. Bought it once, gave it away three times - not because I liked it, but just to get rid of it. It barely changes on the skin, which isn't exactly pleasing

After Bali, I decided to try Madagascar too, but something just didn't work out. I feel completely uncomfortable in them, as if they're not for me. It feels like something important is missing, and that leaves an unpleasant aftertaste

It didn't work for me when I tried it. At first, it smelled like shaving lotion, purely masculine. Then the freesia started to flirt somehow, but the first impression ruined everything. I'm generally not a fan of unisex fragrances and all these calls for gender equality ))

I bought it completely by chance, and back then the price seemed simply astronomical to me. but, you know, I haven't regretted it once. The scent, of course, won't suit everyone. it's so bright and explosive, for girls with character, you could say, sensual ones. Freesia is just front and center here. its freshness is intoxicating, simply captivating. In summer, especially in the evening when the heat subsides, it reveals itself best. The name "5.40 in Madagascar" fully justifies itself.)) I'll definitely buy it again for summer if I find it, as it's a limited edition.🌸
