Description of the composition

The composition of Zen Concentrated is shaped as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Shiseido is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

In the first seconds you meet sparkling citrus top notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Magnolia and Peach.

In the heart you notice Freesia, Gardenia, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Lotus and Violet keeping a velvety rose-iris direction.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Musc, Wood, Amber and Leather expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Ambery, Balsamic, Leather and Aquatic.

Although it's a women's fragrance, it bloomed absolutely stunningly on my husband. I don't regret giving it to him. The cedar and sea water in the composition add a bit of a masculine touch, and his masculinity gives the scent an incredibly appealing nuance. Compliments pour on him like from a horn of plenty!

The scent is really bright and sparkling, but its warmth is hard to grasp right away. Citrus notes with flowers on woody accords and patchouli create an interesting combination. It smells quite dense and rich, but it's not quite the classic Japan everyone is used to. Rather, it's something more Europeanized. Interesting, but I can't say I immediately loved it ))

The gardenia really impressed me! The fruity notes are delightful, but then lotus and salty sea waves appear, and the base seems too masculine. I completely agree with Olga. Such fragrances don't suit me when sweetness mixes with salt and cologne accents. It reminds me of some unusual Japanese sweets

The gardenia in this fragrance is simply stunning, it's so warm and tender. The opening is bright, and then it settles into a deep base where patchouli creates an incredible atmosphere. This is truly unique splendor, although Lacoste also has similar options. But here, you immediately feel the brand's style, especially in the contrast between the opening and the gardenia notes in the heart 🌸
