By Kilian Sweet Redemption: A Fragrance of Redemption in Luxurious Execution

The perfume By Kilian Sweet Redemption, released in 2011, is a unisex fragrance from the L'œuvre Noire collection.

This seductive perfume embodies the luxury and artistic rebellion characteristic of the brand, founded by Kilian Hennessy, heir to the cognac dynasty, who since 2007 has been creating fragrances that balance on the edge of temptation and elegance.

As a perfume water, Sweet Redemption offers a rich and long-lasting scent, ideal for those who appreciate depth and sophistication in daily life or special moments.

Positioning and How to Wear Sweet Redemption

Classified as a unisex fragrance, Sweet Redemption is suitable for both men and women seeking a sensual and mysterious accent.

Its medium trail provides a noticeable but not intrusive presence, unfolding gradually throughout the day.

For optimal effect, it is recommended to use 1 to 2 sprays on the skin and 1 to 2 sprays on clothing, which allows you to enjoy the richness of the notes without overloading.

This fragrance is perfect for cool seasons and evening events, where its oriental-floral character adds a touch of mystery and warmth.

It is complimentary and easily recognizable, making it an excellent choice for those who want to stand out with sophistication.

Creators of the Fragrance: By Kilian Perfumers

The creation of Sweet Redemption involved the talented perfumers Calice Becker and Kilian Hennessy, whose joint work brought a balance between traditional perfumery and modern vision to the composition.

Their approach reflects the brand's DNA, combining artistic expression with technical skill, which enhances By Kilian's reputation as an innovator in the world of niche perfumery.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. I'll add to my thoughts. After some criticism, I noticed there is a difference, but it's very slight. This perfume leans more towards sweetish and slightly medicinal notes, with orange blossom clearly detectable in the balms. Honestly, at the start, I wouldn't have even noticed the difference 😌

What nonsense, honestly! This scent, damn it, really reminds me of Love, I wouldn't even notice the difference in a blind test, it just smells a little less bright. Sweet Redemption is like a lighter and calmer version of Love, in my opinion. But the longevity - it just disappeared faster than the first one. If you like Love, then you'll definitely like this one

The bitterness of resins is clearly felt, and spicy vanilla adds warmth. Floral powder, like semolina, only slightly covers this heaviness. The fragrance is not sweet, but long-lasting, its sillage is noticeable. It smells dense, and I only see it for winter!!!

The fragrance, of course, has its charm, but it can turn out to be too intrusive. The cozy notes that initially delight can quickly turn into a suffocating bitterness if you're not careful with the amount. The lightness disappears, and only the heaviness of resins remains, pressing on the chest. Better not to risk it and not overdo it

The scent is really resinous. I don't smell frankincense, but myrrh and benzoin are definitely present, and they didn't skimp on vanilla here. It's warm, with a hint of bitterness, viscous, and very rich 🌿

The Orient here is simply magnificent! Notes of dark chocolate, cognac, and candied orange peel create an amazing combination. This fragrance seems to envelop you, leaving a trail of resinous smoke. It truly intoxicates and gives a feeling of warmth. Very rich and enveloping, it leaves no one indifferent!!

There's just a ton of resins and incense here. I dreamed of experiencing the beauty everyone talks about, but alas, it didn't happen. For me, it's simply unbearable, oppressive and irritating. I expected an oriental fairy tale, but instead I encountered unbearable stuffiness 😔

The scent is truly captivating, but with a certain sadness in its notes. It's like an actress who constantly changes roles, and at the end of the day, looking in the mirror, tries to understand who she really is 🌸 The orange blossom here isn't cloying, but natural, like fresh, and it's easy to imagine it with your eyes closed. Incense adds mystery, it's as if it envelops you in its cloud. Vanilla is also present, but it feels like a sweet-bitter note in tobacco - strange, but very alluring. This fragrance is long-lasting and leaves a trail that's impossible not to notice. It's one of my favorite scents, and even my husband is thrilled with it 💖

Orange blossom disappointed again. For me, it resembles ordinary face wash soap. I didn't notice the medicinal notes that bother many (though perhaps I haven't used Bioparox) In the end, it turned into a vanilla-floral scent that is completely unappealing

What an amazing fragrance this is! It simply captivates with its depth and sensuality. Here, the alluring notes of opoponax, balsamic frankincense, and benzoin are beautifully combined, along with the sweetness of natural vanilla that seems to envelop you. And let's not forget the mysterious myrrh, which adds a special twist. A true feast for the senses! 🎉

The smell of resins, orange blossom, and a lot of myrrh. For some reason, it evokes associations with something churchy, with frankincense. The fragrance seems quite flat and a bit tiring. But its longevity is really top-notch

Warm floral scent with notes of vanilla and frankincense. It creates an autumn mood, warms you up, although it sounds quite simple. But it's really cozy with it. It doesn't overwhelm or cause discomfort

I can't decide yet if I need it or if a sample in my collection is enough. The fragrance is indeed dense, rich, and warming. On the skin, it reveals notes of orange blossom, frankincense, soft vanilla, and resins. Interesting, but unclear what exactly I think about it

The fragrance, in my opinion, really resembles Love from the same brand, but it's much sweeter and more intense. I get the feeling there's some persistent note in it, similar to cough syrup. It's a rather strange combination, but at the same time it sparks interest!!

What the hell a rich and interesting scent! The orange blossom here just blows your mind. Orange blossom with frankincense - that's something new, I haven't encountered anything like it before. Original and fresh, without any banality. The scent is really cool, you can also hear accords of myrrh and vanilla, which adds depth to it.
