As for Lancôme perfumery, in their boutique collection, you can find several rose-based fragrances: two are named after this flower, and two more are in Magnolia Rosae and Pivoines Printemps. And recently, Rose Peonia appeared - also with rose, although the fragrance is dedicated to peonies. But for me, it's still a rose that surprisingly reminds me of Mille & Une Rose, which I don't like. Actually, there's nothing terrible in Mille & Une Rose except for the musk, which is too sharp for me, and the damascones, which cause a tickle in the throat. Rose Peonia inherited these notes, but in smaller quantities. The raspberry note softens the tobacco-wine dryness of the damascones, and the musky accord, though close to one that makes you want to cry, is much less intense. The fruity accord is fresh and long-lasting, bordering on gourmand, and it's what saves the entire composition. This is followed by a classic rose, quite neutral and versatile. I never found peonies, but it's worth noting that their scent can vary depending on the variety, and I'm not an expert in that. The composition isn't overly bright, but it's full-bodied.
