Description of the composition

The composition of Rumeur (1934) unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Lanvin comes through from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Perfume extract supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Animalistic, Citrus, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Wood, Leather, Spicy and Cosmetic enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect sweet-fresh fruity opening notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Peach and Plum.

In the middle phase you detect Cardamom, Clove, Floral Notes, Jasmine and Nutmeg keeping a warm-spicy direction.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Fairy, Citrus, Fruit and Spicy. It also reaches into Floral, Whiteflower, Animals and Green. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Chypre.
