Fragrance information:

In 2010, Lubin introduced Itasca — a fragrance that's hard to forget. A unisex fragrance belonging to the spicy and wood families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumers Gilles Thévenin and Lucien Ferrero. From the Evocations collection; released as eau de parfum.

It has a very delicate sillage, staying close and personal. France is where this fragrance comes from — and it shows. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The composition of Itasca is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Lubin is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Balsamic, Aromatic, Citrus and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Wood, Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In projection Very weak shows the style of diffusion around the wearer.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet invigorating sunny top notes: Grapefruit, Juniper berries, Mandarin and Neroli.

In the middle phase you sense Clary Sage, Clove, Geranium and Nutmeg holding a warm-spicy direction.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Fruit, Floral and Aromatic. The framework further includes Spicy, Ambery, Wood and Balsamic.

In summary Itasca reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best experienced on skin.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Extremely inconspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.
