Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Citron Vert is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Malin+Goetz is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Aromatic, Whiteflower and Green. The palette also extends to Ambery, Floral, Wood and Musk. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Citrus and Fern.

In the first seconds you meet invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit and Lime.

In the heart you meet Basil, Jasmine, Petitgrain and Rhubarb carrying a noble herbal direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Musc forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Wood, Powdery and Amber expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Overall Citron Vert holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

My husband wears this scent, and for me it's too bright, even though it's pleasant overall. There are plenty of citrus notes, but they are rather bitter, and the sourness comes from rhubarb. On one hand, it reminds me of the All KC perfume 🍊
