Identity and History of Mancera Purple Flowers

Immerse yourself in the world of luxury with Mancera Purple Flowers, an enchanting feminine fragrance released in 2017.

This perfume is part of the exclusive Confidential Collection from the legendary house of Mancera, which since 2008 has embodied French luxury with an oriental soul.

The name "Purple Flowers" hints at floral elegance, but the composition goes beyond the expected, offering a complex and multifaceted journey.

Positioning and Wearability of the Fragrance

Mancera Purple Flowers is classified as an eau de parfum with a feminine positioning, ideally suited for self-assured women who appreciate depth and sophistication.

Its medium sillage ensures a subtle yet long-lasting presence, making the fragrance suitable for evening events, romantic dates, or special occasions in cool seasons.

Thanks to the blend of oriental, floral, spicy, and woody families, it creates an atmosphere of warmth and mystery, feeling comfortable in cool autumn or cozy winter evenings.

Creative Genius of Pierre Montale

Behind the magic of Purple Flowers is the virtuoso perfumer Pierre Montale, whose experience and sense of style have given the fragrance a unique character.

Montale, known for his bold compositions for Mancera, masterfully combines opposites, creating a balance between floral delicacy and spicy intensity.

His work reflects the brand's DNA, where oriental motifs intertwine with European chic, reinforcing Mancera's reputation as an innovator in the world of niche perfumery and adding an aura of exclusivity to this release.

Description of the composition

Note Pyramid of Mancera Purple Flowers

The pyramid of Mancera Purple Flowers begins with a sparkling top accord, where black pepper, elemi, fig tree, ginger, mandarin, nutmeg, and spices create a spicy-citrus explosion that awakens the senses.

In the heart of the composition, a floral-woodsy harmony unfolds with cedar, patchouli, and rose, adding depth and elegance that softens the initial spiciness.

The base anchors the fragrance with warm and sensual notes: gray ambergris, Madagascan vanilla, and white musk create a long-lasting and enveloping sillage that gently melts on the skin, leaving an aftertaste of luxury and comfort.

This dynamic unfolding makes each stage of wear unique, from the bright start to the tender base.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I recently tried this perfume, saw an advertisement in a magazine, and realized it was time to get acquainted with this brand. Rose is at the forefront here, and tart woody notes add depth. Citrus accents are pleasantly refreshing, and there's certainly enough vanilla too. The result is a sweet and spicy fragrance that definitely won't leave you indifferent

Spicy scent, yes, but where are these Purple Flowers here? I don't see them at all, and they're not in the composition. It's a shame, of course, I expected one thing and got total disappointment. The name and packaging create one impression, but in reality, it's completely different 😤

I recently stumbled upon this fragrance in some magazine, and finally decided to give it a try. Honestly, I'm disappointed. It's too heavy, with spicy and bitter notes. Didn't grab me, didn't like it at all!!!

This is definitely not a floral fragrance, but rather a mix of spices and resins. It's quite sharp, and this sharpness lasts for a long time. I'd say it suits everyone, regardless of gender

SPICINESS! This fragrance just explodes the senses. It's sharp and pungent, like a lightning strike. Spices are in every note here, and they dominate, creating a sense of chaos. I don't like that, so I definitely wouldn't wear it

Chypre, as always, is top-notch. Rose with patchouli and wood - that's a classic, of course, but damn, it's so intrusive! 😤 If you put on too much, it'll just suffocate you. Honestly, I think it's already outdated

This fig is just an overload of pepper and spices, sometimes it's even scary to smell it in perfumery. Here, it turned into some kind of explosive mix. The fragrance, of course, is bright, sweet, and spicy-resinous, but it doesn't overdo it. For me, it's too daring, and I can't quite bring myself to call it truly feminine

The name of the fragrance doesn't reflect its essence at all. It's quite heavy and substantial. Sometimes I catch notes of rose, but mostly woody accords with a light hint of vanilla dominate. This fragrance is definitely not for me

Fig, of course, sounds tempting, but here it's not felt at all. The smell of rose simply overwhelms everything, and there are so many spices that it makes your head spin. There's some note that reminds me of spoiled amber, as if someone left it in the sun. I don't know, maybe amber doesn't spoil, but here it feels like something is clearly off. This fragrance disappointed me, but perhaps with time I'll realize I was wrong 🤷‍♀️

Purple flowers have always been something special to me. Hyacinths, lilac, violets. But here, I don't smell a single drop of them. Instead - pure spices and oriental rose. The spices sometimes simply overshadow it. For men's skin, perhaps this would suit, but for women, in my opinion, it's too rough. Although, of course, it all depends on personal preferences!!!

A rich, oily rose with an abundance of spices that sometimes seem too intrusive and even suffocating. Only occasionally can you catch sweet notes of ripe fruits - fleshy peaches and soft figs. The fragrance is completely not versatile, there's something heavy and oppressive about it

This fragrance, like many others from this brand, is truly rich and dense. The longevity is simply impressive, but you need to be careful with the amount you apply. I noticed a slight bitterness, and they clearly didn't skimp on the musk here. The rose feels very intense, and the sweetness of vanilla adds an interesting accent. Overall, this is a perfume that definitely won't leave you indifferent! )

The scent turned out to be quite strange. It combines tartness and spiciness, but also has a sourness and a slight dustiness. Musk clearly dominates, and among the notes, you can catch greenery and cold spices, as well as rose. Overall, the fragrance seems chaotic and doesn't leave a strong impression

The scent is sweet, spicy, but unfortunately, it doesn't thrill me. The bottle, of course, is pleasing to the eye, but the smell itself remains a mystery for now. There was no spark from the first sniff. The fig I expected to smell wasn't how I usually perceive it 😔

The fragrance just explodes with its rich, spicy, and sweet scent! It has so many spices, plus rose, patchouli, and vanilla create an incredible cocktail. I tried a decant, but unfortunately, I couldn't wear it 😅
