Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Devil In Disguise is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Mark Buxton Perfumes is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

Right at the start you sense cardamom-peppery top notes: Ginger and Rhubarb. Exactly these 2 notes form piquant dynamism that is impossible to miss.

In the heart you detect Magnolia and Neroli holding a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood without random overlap. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In diffusion Middle shows the style of diffusion around the wearer.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Spicy, Green, Floral and Wood. The palette also extends to Musk and Whiteflower. From a family perspective the composition sits in Floral.

In summary Devil In Disguise sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Mark Buxton leaves a rather familiar impression, reminiscent of Calvin Klein's Truth, but with a pronounced herbaceous note. This perfume truly has character and is quite powerful, especially for summer. It features smoky vetiver, spicy and with a slight tartness of rhubarb. Currently, it's revealing its darker side. It's a unisex fragrance, and I feel its longevity is excellent, and the sillage will also be noticeable. Initially, I planned to use it in spring and summer, but it will also be perfect for autumn and winter. The bottle is standard for this brand, not very comfortable in hand, and the liquid has a yellowish tint ))

The scent seemed too harsh to me, even though I don't like sweet notes. The rhubarb at the beginning just knocks you off your feet. But on a guy, it smells completely different. incredibly sexy, something about it is just magnetic, a real aphrodisiac! 🌟 It's hard to break down the notes, but rhubarb clearly dominates, and ginger is barely noticeable. Floral notes blend, creating a background effect, they don't stand out. But sandalwood and musk fully unfold. In general, I don't recommend it for girls, but for men - this is exactly what you need! 💪
