Description of the composition

The composition of Ecusson unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Orlane is evident from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Fragrant mist keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In the first seconds you detect petal-airy top notes: Iris and Lemon. Exactly these 2 notes shape an elegant floral wave that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the central layer you detect Clove, Geranium, Jasmine, Violet and ylang-ylang keeping a velvety rose-iris direction. In the final layer the structure settles through Oak moss, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Vetiver and musk, reinforcing a warm vetiver trail.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Floral, Citrus, Spicy and Whiteflower. It also reaches into Earthy / Mossy, Wood, Gourmet and Musk. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Floral and Spicy.

In summary Ecusson sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

What an interesting specimen I stumbled upon! A true masterpiece with a rich and sophisticated aroma. I recently noticed it on a friend and immediately got interested. She herself seems to radiate this scent - such a beautiful brunette with mysterious grey eyes and a light tan. Now, it's precisely such girls I envision when I think of this fragrance. First impressions are, of course, the most vivid.
