Description of the composition

The composition of Brutus is built as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Orto Parisi comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a energetic fresh mood: Bergamot, Mandarin and Patchouli. In this format 3 notes sound as one coherent layer, forming a burst of citrus freshness that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which gives the structure continuity.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Citrus and Wood with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms High suggests confident staying power.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Wood and Aromatic.

In summary Brutus reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence

4
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. Citrus notes, spicy accents, woody nuances, and patchouli with a light smokiness. It's more a scent for men than for women. I didn't notice any depth. No uniqueness is felt either

I bought a sample of this scent, but unfortunately, I didn't realize it was a fougère. There's too much citrus freshness at the beginning, and I expected something richer, especially after seeing patchouli in the base. Woody notes appear over time, but they seem too simple and predictable. In my opinion, this scent doesn't stand out among many others. For example, Black Afgano significantly surpasses it in complexity and depth. Overall, it's not bad, just not my cup of tea

The scent, to put it simply, is quite powerful and masculine, with notes of spices and wood, but in the L'Eau version, it seems heavily diluted and with a fresher opening. Overall, it's not bad, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the longevity leaves much to be desired. For that kind of money, I expected more 😕
