Fragrance information:

The year 2019 gave us Freak Chic Bruno Acampora. A unisex fragrance from the chypre and floral families. The author of this composition is Miguel Matos, and that explains a lot. By character, it falls into the wood, musk, and fruit groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of citrus and whiteflower can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Freak Chic — a proud member of the Acampora 54 collection. An oil-based perfume — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. Longevity is moderate — not too much, not too little, just right. Brand country — Italy: a place that truly knows its way around a great scent. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Freak Chic is built as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Bruno Acampora is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Animalistic, Citrus, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Musc and Wood expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration Middle suggests confident staying power.

When the structure is mixed the fragrance opens as a single chord with a pulsating fruity mood: Apple, Beeswax, Bergamot, Cedar Moss, Chamomile, Ebony wood and Ginger.

The deeper layers are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Fruit, Musk and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Wood, Animals, Earthy / Mossy and Floral.

Overall Freak Chic sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The name, of course, raises questions. Is it chic? Or just odd? The creator seems to have been out of their mind when mixing all this. The scent turned out quite chemical, which is surprising, as they promised to use only high-quality and expensive ingredients. The apple here is just awful. Longevity on the skin is average, but if it gets on clothes, it's better not to think about the consequences
