Terroni seems to burn, and this fire penetrates the earth, not destroying it, but awakening seeds. These “children of fire” look gloomy and severe, they have thorns instead of leaves, and their flowers are fragile and bright. Wood smoke is everywhere: it seems to exhale from black stems and trunks, perfuming the delicate flowers bending towards the ground. Gualtieri burned every tree that went into the composition: birch, cedar, juniper, guaiac. He chose the smokiest vetiver, symbolizing earth imbued with fire, creating the image of a sinister host born of volcanic flame. Don't expect softness from Terroni. The composition is loud and alluring, it reminds you of itself for a long time. The woody smoke gradually fades, leaving behind a recognizable vetiver, sweetish and creamy, as if an ivory-skinned infant sleeps under the roots, smelling of sandalwood and delicate flowers.
