Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua begins with a bright burst of citrus: grapefruit and yuzu combined with spicy pink pepper, creating an energetic and invigorating start.

In the heart of the composition, a marine accord unfolds, intertwining with delicate violet leaf, adding depth and fresh coolness.

The fragrance base is anchored with warm and sensual notes: amber, ambergris, and guaiac wood, ensuring longevity and a cozy, finishing impression.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

This fragrance is truly bolder and sharper compared to the 2018 version. In the new version, all the notes have become softer, but in 2016, you could feel a real minty chewing gum with a salty aftertaste. It promises a lot at the start, but closer to the base, it loses its brutality. If you only focus on the top notes when buying, you might face disappointment after a couple of hours )

I like this version much more than the first, classic one. That one was too provocative, but this one sounds younger and friendlier. Simpler, like a fresh ocean breeze, with light notes of men's grooming

I can't say how the first Invictus is, as I haven't tried it. But here's what I've noticed: aquatic notes clearly dominate here, and now I definitely know what water smells like 😄 It's such a citrusy freshness, as if sliced lemons, oranges, grapefruits, and bergamot were thrown into a large bowl. You lean over it and just enjoy this scent. The other notes seem to be responsible for longevity, because I don't detect any woodiness or amber warmth, they're not here at all

This version of Invictus has indeed become lighter and fresher. Aquatic notes and citruses give the fragrance simplicity, making it perfect for everyday use. The development is similar to the original, but feels less intense and doesn't last as long. Overall, they made it more refined and youthful 🌟

Aquatic notes and a common men's cologne - that's just awful! If you like fragrances that everyone wears, then go ahead and get it, but I wouldn't recommend it 😒

The fragrance turned out completely unexpressive. Water, just like water, and they added aquatic notes, even though there were already enough in the original. They removed something important, and now the flanker looks very pale. In the end, it resembles shaving foam more than anything interesting 😒

A fragrance that sparks interest, it's a fresh masculine one. Citrus notes and marine accents clearly stand out. A summer option, without a doubt, it suits well. The sillage is aquatic and quite pleasant. I think it looks great on a young guy 🌊

A nicer version came out, but there's no bay leaf here, so it feels lighter. However, the powerful aquatic notes still ruin everything, even the subtle citrus notes can't save the situation 😒
