Ultraviolet Man: Daring Fragrance from Paco Rabanne

Released in 1999, Ultraviolet Man by Paco Rabanne (known in Russia as 'Ultraviolet Man') is an eau de toilette that embodies the rebellious spirit of the brand.

As part of the Ultraviolet collection, this fragrance has become a symbol of courage and innovation for the modern man, reflecting the revolutionary aesthetics of founder Francisco Rabaneda.

Paco Rabanne, known for its bold approaches in fashion, brings this energy into perfumery, making Ultraviolet Man not just a fragrance, but a statement of freedom and individuality that resonates with those seeking more than an ordinary scent.

Who Ultraviolet Man is for and How to Wear It

This masculine fragrance is perfect for self-confident individuals who value strength and mystery.

As an eau de toilette, it offers a refreshing start with sustained development, and its middle trail leaves a subtle but memorable trace, ideal for daily wear or special moments.

Thanks to its belonging to the Oriental and Woody families, Ultraviolet Man unfolds excellently in cool seasons, adding warmth and depth to the image, and can be your companion for evening meetings or creative inspirations.

The Master Behind the Fragrance: Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud

The creator of Ultraviolet Man was the famous perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, whose talent has given the world many iconic compositions.

His work on this fragrance demonstrates the ability to balance between traditional notes and modern trends, which fully aligns with the DNA of Paco Rabanne, known for its innovations.

Ultraviolet Man strengthened the brand's position in men's perfumery, offering an alternative to classic woody fragrances with an Oriental accent, and remains a topic of discussion among connoisseurs for its unique character.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I prefer the men's version more, it's somehow warmer and cozier. In winter, it opens up especially well, creating an atmosphere of comfort. The women's version, though good, isn't as impressive in cold weather

They added a violet note here, and it's really impressive. Spicy, bright, rich - as if lightly sprinkled with pepper. The fragrance, of course, is unusual and might not appeal to everyone. I somehow immediately clicked with it. But here's the problem - I noticed it too late, now it's almost impossible to find in stores. And searching on auctions - I have neither the time, desire, nor extra money )

On autumn days, especially when fog envelops everything around, this fragrance is simply captivating. No cloying sweetness, no unpleasantness, absolutely nothing that could repel. It fills you with energy and inspires new achievements 🌟

I wouldn't say it's super great, but it's not a total flop either. There's freshness, lightness too, but something's missing. It's sweetish, but not too much, and a little languid. The longevity, unfortunately, is lacking. The original atomizer, yes, that's a plus, but overall the feeling is a bit strange. I can't figure out if I like it or not

I noticed one strange characteristic of this fragrance. Cold air is simply essential for it, so the amber note doesn't dominate. In such moments, the vanilla-peppery note starts to emerge. But as soon as the temperature rises, everything changes: vanilla and pepper disappear, and heavy amber comes to the forefront. Therefore, it's probably better to wear it in colder seasons

The scent is really interesting, reminds me of an old sweater my dad used to wear - one with deer on it, like a geologist's. It just makes me want to put it on and head to some 80s-themed disco. I can just imagine myself sparkling under the flashing spotlights!
