Vetiver Java Perris Monte Carlo arrived in 2021 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. By character, a unisex fragrance drawing from the wood family. Perfumer Gian Luca Perris poured every ounce of mastery into this one. One of the scents from the Black collection. Released in eau de parfum.

Description of the composition

The scent of Vetiver Java unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Perris Monte Carlo is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Wood and Amber enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet radiant lemon-bergamot opening notes: Calabrian bergamot, Grapefruit and Sichuan pepper.

When the opening settles you sense Geranium and Vetiver keeping a opulent floral direction.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Citrus, Spicy, Floral and Wood. The framework further includes Ambery and Musk. From a family perspective the scent maps to Wood.

Overall Vetiver Java sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best experienced in wear.
