Fragrance information:

America joined the Perry Ellis portfolio in 1996. A feminine fragrance rooted in the fruit and floral families. An eau de toilette — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

It carries a noticeable sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. Country of origin — the United Kingdom: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. Further versions available: perry ellis america (2019). America Perry Ellis unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of America evolves as a living composition, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Perry Ellis comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette sets the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Fruit, Floral, Citrus and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Green, Wood, Gourmet and Musk. At family level the scent maps to Floral and Fruit.

From the first breath you catch juicy fruity first notes: Apple, Blueberry, Freesia and Grapefruit.

At the core of development you detect Lily, Nectarine, Tea and honeysuckle holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Wood and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

In summary America holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

There's something strange, oriental about this fragrance, yet it's completely European. It's intriguing, yes, I've been wearing it for a long time, sometimes I don't buy it for a year, and then I find it online again and buy it again. But I just can't understand its character, it doesn't quite click. And I like that, even though it sometimes annoys me
