Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Rose Synactif unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Shiseido is evident in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

From the first breath you meet spicy sparkling first notes: Anise and Lemon Verbena. These 2 notes build piquant dynamism that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you meet Chrysanthemum and Rose keeping a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Spicy without random overlap. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms High points to a sustained drydown presence.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Spicy, Citrus, Floral and Musk. The framework further includes Whiteflower, Earthy / Mossy and Green. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Floral and Green.

Overall Rose Synactif holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The rose note here is truly unusual, with the bitterness of greens and anise. Although it seems a bit harsh to me, I still can't look away from it. The composition sparks curiosity but leaves a bitter aftertaste 🌹
