Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Lavender is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The creative approach of The Body Shop comes through in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Oil-based perfume emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the notes arrive together with a refreshing grassy mood: Lavender. In this format 1 note sounds as one coherent layer, building pure greenery effect that reads as cohesive from the start.

The deeper layers are felt as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Aromatic without random overlap. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Green and Earthy / Mossy. Within olfactory families the composition sits in Green.

Overall Lavender holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The lavender scent reminds me of soap. It's so sharp it makes my throat tickle. On the skin, it becomes simply unbearable, as if everything around is enveloped in a cloud of this fragrance. My head starts to hurt, and I just want to escape from this intrusive smell

The lavender here is ordinary, synthetic. The scent is too intrusive and bright, it doesn't leave you indifferent. The longevity of the fragrance is impressive, especially on fabric - even after washing, it can still be felt

It's just a bottle of lavender oil. There's nothing more to add, as the scent is too simple. It's only suitable for home use 🌿

It's just a bottle of lavender oil. There's nothing more to add, because this oil smells so simple it's almost indecent. Only suitable for home use )
