This unisex perfume, part of the legendary Casamorati 1888 collection, embodies the spirit of carefree summer on the sunny Amalfi coast.

Since its release, Dolce Amalfi has become a symbol of luxury and sophistication, reflecting the brand's philosophy where every detail—from the notes to the bottle—is meticulously thought out, and it continues to be one of the key releases for lovers of oriental compositions.

Positioning and Character

Dolce Amalfi is classified as a unisex fragrance, making it an ideal choice for anyone who values versatility and elegance.

In the concentration of perfume water, it offers a rich and long-lasting sillage, with a medium trail that leaves a subtle but memorable trace.

Application Practice

To fully enjoy Dolce Amalfi, it is recommended to apply it moderately: 1 to 2 sprays on the skin for natural unfolding, and 1 to 2 sprays on clothing for a more lasting effect.

This dosage allows the fragrance to develop smoothly without overwhelming others, emphasizes its multifaceted nature, and guarantees long hours of enjoyment without the need for frequent reapplication.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Dolce Amalfi begins with a bright explosion of fruity and spicy chords: apple and quince bring juicy sweetness, while cardamom and saffron add a spicy warmth, creating a playful and refreshing introduction.

At the heart of the composition, deep balsamic notes unfold: cloves (spice) impart spiciness, and frankincense and Tolu balsam create a cozy, resinous aura that gradually softens the initial fruitiness.

The base of the fragrance envelops in warm embraces of amber, cedar, tonka bean, vanilla and musk, forming a long-lasting and seductive finale, where the sweetness of vanilla and the earthiness of musk harmoniously intertwine with woody accents.

This journey from freshness to depth makes Dolce Amalfi a true oriental masterpiece that unfolds in layers on the skin, offering new nuances every hour.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I can't disagree: I wouldn't have paid attention to the «Dolce Amalfi» fragrance if it weren't for the blotter our former editor-in-chief handed me at the Esxence exhibition in 2017. I've never been to the Amalfi Coast, and I didn't feel like listening to another story about Italian Riviera inspiration. But it didn't matter, because my acquaintance with Dolce Amalfi began precisely with the fragrance itself, which I still consider truly unique.

In the spring of 2017, my colleagues and I discussed the evolution of gourmand fragrances, singling them out into a separate category we called «intellectual gourmands». These were fragrances that offered something more than just vanilla and chocolate. Compositions with unusual concepts and accords that combined with something atypical for the genre. Dolce Amalfi became one of those fragrances that made this group appear at all.

Xerjoff released a creamy-amber fragrance, but in reality, it's something much more complex. The composition has two accords that intersect at one point. The first is amber, consisting of Tolu balsam, vanilla, frankincense, and spices. The second is fruity, from quince and sweet lemons. The scent of ripe quince here is bright and very pleasant, but it's transformed into jam with lemon zest. The intersection of the main notes is creamy. Vanilla and lactonic material create an apple accord. Spices and propolis add interest. It was thanks to the bright smell of fresh propolis that I fell in love with Dolce Amalfi.

This composition is fluid: it smoothly transitions from sweet fruits to resins and woody amber, then to honey and propolis, and so on in a loop. At the same time, it remains spicy, with noticeable clove, which might seem too smoky or medicinal to some, but in reality, it gives ar

What the hell, this perfume is just effing amazing! It smells like barberry candies, remember those? Yeah, exactly! Such a sweet and pleasant scent, straight from childhood. No herbs or resins, just sweetness and positivity. If there's anything subtle, you'd have to really sniff for it. Overall, a really cool and joyful smell!

This scent evokes real emotions! Sweet apples and quince, they sound so natural, as if just picked from the tree. But then there's this smoky incense, it seems to slip between the fruits, adding a touch of mystery. Cardamom doesn't leave you indifferent either, it makes the composition more interesting. It's not just a fruit cocktail; there's something more here that makes you think. Overall, I can't say I completely love it, but I can't say it repels me either. It intrigues, that's for sure! 🍏

This fragrance truly conveys the mood evoked by its bright yellow bottle. It's so juicy and sharp, it just can't help but make you happy! Your mood lifts instantly, but wearing it for a long time - that's not an easy task. You need to be a true optimist to handle its energy!

What kind of nonsense, not a fragrance! It reminds me, damn it, of the smell of cough medicine. There's balsamicity galore here, just too much. Bright, yes, but that's not always good, especially when all the other bottles are the same

The citrus sweetness unexpectedly turns into a smoky quince accent. Then a coniferous nuance with a light sweetness is felt. There's a lot of freshness and air in the fragrance. It's like a sunny day in the mountains, with the sea nearby. Smoke and citrus are especially bright in warm weather!! The taste of overripe quince seems simple, but at the same time, it's unusual. I can't quite say if I like it or not

Dolce Amalfi by Xerjoff is another Italian from the Casamorati series, and honestly, it gives off a real boozy vibe. First, there's a bright, sparkling burst where the tartness of quince mixes with spices and resins. It's like a lemon liqueur, but more like a quince “Quincecello.” Sometimes it's sweet like an alcoholic cocktail, then it turns into citrus chewing gum. The scent has a trail and is constantly changing. For me, it's the perfect companion in spring and summer, and I'm so glad it became part of my perfume world

This scent evokes a POWER of emotions. On one hand, it reminds me of something medicinal, like propolis tincture, and on the other - the freshness of the Italian coast. The perfume is truly strange, but its longevity is simply astonishing!

The smell of this fragrance reminds me of propolis. I can't disagree that it's really noticeable. And what's surprising, it stays on the skin for quite a long time!!! It creates a strange feeling, as if time has stopped, and you're left alone with this note.

The fragrance is truly impressive, bright, and original. On me, it opened with the sweetness of quince, with notes of herbs and balm, as well as resins. I don't know if I can afford a full bottle, but a small decant in my collection is simply a treasure! 🌟

I tried this fragrance, hoped for something interesting and, generally speaking, wasn't disappointed. I associate it with propolis and its surroundings. The smell is very herbal, like in a pharmacy. The perfume really lasts a long time 💪

The scent is just super! Fell in love instantly, without hesitation. It's definitely not for everyone, but its uniqueness is what hooked me. Imagine: sweet quince candies, but with an herbal balm. Very bright, rich, with such an interesting medicinal note. It's something special! )

This brand isn't for me, although the packaging is chic. But Dolce Amalfi is a find. When I ordered a sample, I thought it would be a failure, because balsamic notes aren't for me. But on the skin it opened with sweet candies, sticky, with a medicinal taste and spices. Bright and cheerful! Sunny and citrusy. I want a 30ml with a brush, even though I know it only comes from 50ml

The quince here is sweet, even too sweet, like it's from a fairy tale. The apple is also noticeable, but they seem intertwined, though they're actually different. Spices add interest, and resinous notes create a certain mystery. The oriental base with vanilla and musk gives it all a special charm, but I can't figure out if I like it or not 🤔

I was expecting something special, like in that review, but alas, it didn't work out. The quince and frankincense I loved so much aren't noticeable here. The scent is too sweet, reminds me of vanilla cream, as if someone decided to make a dessert. The salesgirl in the store even got offended by my words
