Macaque joined the Zoologist Perfumes portfolio in 2016. A unisex fragrance rooted in the green, wood, and floral families. Its authors — perfumers Sarah McCartney and Victor Wong. By character, it falls into the green, drinks, and wood groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of fruit, whiteflower, and balsamic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Offered in eau de parfum concentration.
It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. The longevity of this fragrance is moderate — exactly what most occasions call for. Made in Canada. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.
The fragrance has medium longevity and lasts on the skin for about 5-6 hours, gradually revealing its notes and leaving a pleasant impression
It can be felt in close proximity, but does not attract the attention of those around you
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The scent of Macaque unfolds as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Zoologist Perfumes is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports the right density and pace of development.
Right at the start you sense dry woody opening notes: Cedar, Green Apple and Mandarin.
In the central layer you meet Frankincense, Galbanum, Honey, Jasmine, Rosewood and ylang-ylang holding a silky white floral direction.
The internal accord map is built around these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Fruit, Musc and Wood enrich the profile without taking over. The gender direction is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Middle suggests confident staying power.
At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Balsamic, Drinks, Fruit and Green. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Wood, Citrus and Sweet.
Taken together Macaque reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory.
