Nina Ricci L'Air Du Temps By Starck: A Reimagined Classic from a Design Legend

Imagine a fragrance that captures the essence of time, encapsulating elegance and romance in every drop.

Nina Ricci L'Air Du Temps By Starck is precisely such a creation, released in 2010 and representing a modern interpretation of the iconic perfume.

This eau de toilette belongs to the house of Nina Ricci, synonymous with French chic, and is part of the famous L'Air du Temps collection, where tradition meets innovation.

Positioning and Character of the Fragrance: For Connoisseurs of Sophistication

As a feminine fragrance, L'Air Du Temps By Starck is ideal for those seeking a balance between classic femininity and modern boldness.

Belonging to the chypre and floral families, it combines the freshness of flowers with the depth of woody and spicy notes.

Its medium sillage makes the fragrance versatile: it is noticeable enough to leave a trace, but not overpowering, perfectly suited for daily wear, romantic evenings, or special occasions.

We recommend applying it to pulse points on the skin, such as the wrists and neck, so the fragrance unfolds gradually, highlighting your individuality.

Authorship and Influence: The Magic of Fabron and the Genius of Starck

Behind the creation of this perfumed gem is master Francis Fabron, whose talent gave the fragrance its unique depth and emotionality.

His work in tandem with designer Philippe Starck, who likely brought his signature minimalist style to the packaging, makes this release a unique event in the world of perfumery.

This is not just an update of a classic, but a bold statement on how time can transform iconic creations while preserving their soul.

For the brand Nina Ricci, such a collaboration strengthens its reputation as an innovator capable of blending traditions with current trends, attracting a new generation of connoisseurs.

Similar Fragrances and Further Exploration

If L'Air Du Temps By Starck has won your heart, you might also enjoy other perfumes that share its elegant and romantic atmosphere.

For example, try the original Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps to compare with the classic, or consider Brocard Russian Princess with its Slavic charm, as well as Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Iris Poudre for its exquisite powdery notes.

Usage Recommendations: When and How to Wear It

This fragrance is especially good in the spring-summer season, when its floral accents harmonize with awakening nature, but it can also warm up autumn days thanks to its warm base notes.

It is ideal for the office, dates, or informal meetings, creating an aura of confidence and grace.

Since the dosage is not specified, start with one or two sprays on the skin to assess how the fragrance interacts with your chemistry, and if necessary, add some to your clothing for a longer-lasting effect.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid L'Air Du Temps By Starck begins with a playful chord of top notes: bergamot and neroli give freshness, while clove, peach blossom, rose and rosewood add a light sweetness.

In the heart of the composition, a burst of flowers unfolds: jasmine, gardenia and ylang-ylang create a luxurious bouquet, complemented by iris, orchid, violet, as well as spicy nuances of clove and rosemary.

Base notes give depth and longevity: amber, benzoin and musk envelop with a warm trail, while cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss and spices add earthy and woody stability, completing this multifaceted symphony.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

With my grandma, I first encountered the 1948 version, and now I'm slowly exploring the flankers. I tried this fragrance before all of them, and knowing almost all versions, I can say it most resembles the first release of L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci. It's very rich, spicy, with notes of clove and moss, and there's just a lot of rose here. It embodies all the chic of the 40s-50s-60s 🌸

Haven't seen this version before. The bottle looks quite unusual. I wonder if it changes somehow or just stays put.??? A mystery. I'd like to get to know it better

The bottle really catches the eye, it's so unusual. And the fragrance... it's quite complex, with a pronounced tartness and bitterness. There's a vintage character to it, which adds interest. It seems like a limited flanker of the first release. It's interesting how it can open up new facets of perception. Give it a try, you might like it! )))

The bottle and the name of this flanker look quite unusual. Honestly, I'm not familiar with this version and don't feel a strong desire to try it. This style, like this fragrance, raises certain doubts for me )

The bottle didn't impress me at all, and this version is just a rehash of the classic fragrance. There's so much clove here it's irritating, a feeling of sharpness and prickliness. Didn't like it at all 😕

The bottle attracted me, it lies horizontally, as if two doves are kissing, spreading their wings. If you try hard, you can imagine it. The clove in the fragrance is simply powerful, like a drill. Although there are about twenty more components here, as is usually the case in old-school fragrances. But, honestly, besides clove wrapped in jasmine and vetiver, I don't want to smell anything else. Wearing such a fragrance now is truly extravagant. It didn't evoke any emotions in me, except for the feeling that I had stumbled into something completely alien, saturated, and as if chaotically mixed. Here are flowers, and spices, and musk, and woody notes. Why is this needed? For whom? Yes, this is the spirit of a time when perfumes were created with soul and sounded like eternity. But now everything has changed. New times, new heroes, new gods

The bottle just disappointed me, nothing special. The fragrance smells kind of outdated, like it's stuck in the 60s, too bright and overloaded. The clove notes only cause irritation, not admiration 😒
