Fragrance Composition

The note pyramid of Francesca dell'Oro Page 29 begins with a bright top accord, where bergamot, iris, mandarin, palisander (rosewood), and tangerine create a refreshing and citrusy opening that instantly captures attention.

In the heart of the composition, deeper notes unfold: elemi adds a balsamic warmth, floral notes bring tenderness, leather accord gives boldness and character, and vetiver provides earthy stability.

Finally, in the base of the fragrance, labdanum, tonka bean, vanilla, and musk reign supreme, creating a sweetly spicy and sensual finish that lingers long on the skin, enveloping you in a cloud of comfort and mystery, smoothly transitioning from the initial freshness to the deep base.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance truly impresses with its longevity and richness. Labdanum and elemi were clearly not spared here, and sweet leather adds a special charm. Citrus notes at the opening sound interesting, but, alas, quickly fade, giving way to sweet resinousness and woody accents 🌟

Citrus notes in bitter resin and sweet tonka beans make me sad. It seems more for men than for women 😔

A second version on the same theme. Although the name hints at something specific, the fragrance turns out to be much more complex and multifaceted. At its core is a woody-vanilla-leather accord that surprisingly accurately conveys the smell of old books. It's truly memorable, but it's felt in the sillage when you're at a distance. If you inhale it up close, you're immediately transported to a woman's boudoir: Lalique stands, perfume bottles, fresh flowers, porcelain vases, figurines, powder compacts, and lipsticks. The leathery bitterness contrasts with the sweetness, giving the composition certain boundaries. If you could extract the scent from old books, in my opinion, it would smell like this: bittersweet, rich and dense, with notes of fallen leaves, tobacco, and powder. Simply a magnificent idea! 🌟

The fragrance that once seemed so multifaceted now evokes only nostalgia. Citrus notes give way to leather, and then flowers, but something is lost in this transition. The warmth of the composition, it would seem, should bring joy, but instead, only emptiness is felt. In the base, where there should be iris powder, there's only cold resin, which doesn't warm but, on the contrary, distances
