Boadicea the Victorious Divine: a niche classic with a regal character

Divine by the British niche brand Boadicea the Victorious is a true embodiment of elegance and strength.

Launched in 2008, it became part of the prestigious Spirit Collection, dedicated to the spirit of the legendary warrior queen.

This unisex masterpiece was created by the talented perfumer John Stephen.

This unisex fragrance wears beautifully on both women’s and men’s skin, unfolding with noble floral-oriental accents.

Thanks to its noticeable sillage, Divine leaves behind an unforgettable trail that you want to breathe in again and again.

It is an olfactory expression of understated luxury—for those who appreciate sophistication and impeccable taste.

If you love Divine, explore similar compositions: Burberry Her Blossom, Givenchy Only Givenchy, and Donna Karan DKNY Women Limited Edition 2019.

Each interprets the theme of floral-oriental harmony in its own way.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

The fragrance is just overwhelming, so heavy it's hard to breathe. Floral powder, aldehydes, and spices - that's all classic, of course, but it's too much here. Feminine, yes, but with some aggressive character. For women over 40, but not for everyone, only for those who like to be noticed. Awful! 😤

This fragrance, in my opinion, truly has a feminine sound. If a man can wear it, it's only those who fit an oriental style. It's interesting that it unfolds differently on different people. There's something alluring about it, but at the same time, there's a lightness, as if it's just a game, not its true essence

The fragrance is truly impressive, long-lasting and rich, leaving a long sillage. It's like it's alive, changing depending on the weather or your mood. If you're in a bad mood, it might seem strict and even cold. But as soon as you become playful, it reveals itself anew - becoming light, kind, and gentle. Once, on a cool rainy day, on my skin it reminded me of Gio by Armani…!!!

Honestly, this fragrance only causes disappointment. At first, the aldehydes seem to sound beautiful, but then it all turns into some cloying floral mass. The musk, which should add a special touch, only makes things worse, creating a feeling of heaviness. There's no harmony here, just a collection of smells that don't match. And yes, unisex? No, this is clearly not for men. On them, it would look ridiculous. Overall, I expected more, but only got disappointment
