Discovering the Fragrance

Angelic by the British brand Boadicea the Victorious was launched in 2012 and immediately won the hearts of niche fragrance enthusiasts.

This unisex fragrance (unisex) belongs to the legendary Black Collection, an embodiment of strength, elegance, and mystery.

Boadicea the Victorious is a modern ode to the British spirit, captured through the art of perfumery.

Founded in 2008, the brand is named after the legendary warrior queen, and each of its fragrances tells a story of courage and nobility.

Angelic is no exception: it combines softness and boldness to create a unique olfactory portrait.

The Olfactory Pyramid and Development

The Angelic composition is built on contrasts. Top notes of juicy apple, spicy cardamom, and herbaceous clary sage create a fresh, energetic opening.

At the heart of the fragrance, noble Damask rose (Rosa damascena) unfolds, framed by papyrus and a woody accord.

The base is warm and sensual: amber, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, white cedar, and musk create a lasting trail you will want to breathe in again and again.

Wearability and Character

Angelic is a unisex fragrance, making it equally appealing on women and men.

It belongs to the fougère and woody fragrance families, while its moderate sillage makes it suitable for both the office and a romantic date.

Thanks to its eau de parfum concentration, it offers pleasing all-day longevity.

Creators and Inspiration

Angelic was created by perfumers Christian Provenzano and Michael Boadi.

Their collaboration gave the world a fragrance that balances heavenly lightness with earthly passion—the true embodiment of the name “Angelic.”

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This fragrance is green-woody, fresh, and reveals very pleasantly with apple notes. Floral accents are almost absent here; they only add a slight sweetness. For everyday use - simply an excellent choice 🍏

I can't quite pinpoint what draws me to these fragrances - maybe it's their beauty or the bottles themselves, but my rating never drops below 5. Even if a scent isn't quite my style, it's impossible not to look at them with admiration. Angélique is a green, herbaceous scent with tree bark and a slight bitterness. It reminds me of bitter herbs and tree trunks. The person who wears it seems wise and calm to me, with inner strength. This is more of a masculine fragrance. And, as always, the sillage is simply stunning, and the longevity is excellent 🌟

Honestly, this scent only puzzles me. Although the notes are different, the feeling that it's built on the same principle as Kirke doesn't leave me. The musk is the same, and that's not a good thing. Overall, I even like it, but the price is just insane, like they're asking for an airplane wing. I doubt I'll decide to buy a bottle 😒

At first, it seems familiar, but once you reach the base, it starts to surprise and reveal its secrets. Caramel, sweet and viscous, beautifully accentuates patchouli, and a light cardamom adds an interesting touch. As a result, the base turns out rich, woody, and resinous, with a light sweetness that doesn't overpower
