Identity and Release History

Perfume Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol, released in 2011, is an exciting embodiment of the New York spirit from the brand Bond No. 9.

Founded by Laurice Rahmé, this house became a pioneer in American niche perfumery, dedicating each fragrance to the city that never sleeps, and the Andy Warhol collection celebrates the pop art icon whose work still inspires the worlds of fashion and art.

This release is positioned as a unisex fragrance, making it ideal for shared use, and its belonging to the fougère and woody families adds versatility, allowing it to harmonize with different styles and preferences.

Positioning and Wearability

As a perfume water, Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol offers moderate longevity, suitable for daily wear — from morning meetings to evening outings.

Its unisex character means that it easily adapts to individual skin chemistry, creating a unique experience for each wearer, without being tied to gender stereotypes.

If you appreciated this fragrance, be sure to explore similar options to expand your perfume palette: try L'Occitane en Provence Jenipapo for fresh fruity notes, Yves Rocher Ode au Rêve for floral tenderness or Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol Montauk for another perspective on the same collection, which will help you find new favorites.

Creators and Influence

Bond No. 9, with its focus on New York, uses fragrances as a means of telling urban stories, and Andy Warhol fits perfectly into this philosophy, symbolizing creativity and avant-garde.

This perfume not only strengthens the brand's reputation as a master of unique, culturally rich releases but also attracts fans who appreciate the fusion of perfumery with pop culture, making it a must-have for true connoisseurs.

The 2011 release remains relevant today, proving that quality composition and thoughtful positioning can create a timeless fragrance that continues to inspire and delight new generations of perfume lovers.

Description of the composition

Top notes, including bergamot and citrus accord, deliver a bright and refreshing start that instantly lifts the mood, while the addition of cypress and plum gives it a light fruity sweetness and woody depth.

In the heart of the composition, jasmine and rose unfold with floral elegance, softening the overall character, while labdanum, oud, and patchouli add warm, balsamic, and earthy accents, creating an intriguing contrast.

The base, composed of frankincense, sandalwood, vanilla, and musk, provides longevity and sensuality, leaving on the skin a cozy, enveloping trail that gradually unfolds, emphasizing the versatility and complexity of this fragrance.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Among the many Bonds, I simply got lost. This fragrance was the first one I encountered, and after it, I hesitated for a long time to approach the brand. I didn't expect everything to be so serious. For me, it's somehow malicious; I can't understand what exactly is so repulsive about it, but this resinous splendor with rose just scared me. Everything is difficult from the very beginning, and it doesn't get easier later 😔

The fragrance consists of plums, cypress, bergamot, and citrus. In the heart of the composition, you can find agarwood, rose, patchouli, and jasmine, as well as French labdanum. The base features olibanum, vanilla, sandalwood, and musk. This perfume clearly belongs to woody and fougère fragrances 🌟

There are tons of resins in this fragrance, and the rose with bergamot creates such an astringency that you can't tear yourself away. It immediately catches attention, and falling in love with it is a matter of moments. A real discovery! )

The bottle, of course, catches the eye, but it doesn't always reflect what's inside. With this brand, it seems to be a common thing. Andy doesn't associate with such an intense Arabian-style rose for me. But, honestly, that's not that important, because I really liked the fragrance. I can feel rose, oud, frankincense, and dried plum in it. A very beautiful and bright scent 🌸
