Character and history of the fragrance

Chloé Cedrus Intense is a 2025 unisex fragrance created for those who appreciate distinctive woody compositions with a leather accent.

The eau de parfum is part of the Atelier des Fleurs collection and continues its concept: revealing the multifaceted nature of natural materials through a modern, elegant perfumery lens.

The composition was created by Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch.

Their collaboration feels poised and confident: a fresh green opening gradually gives way to soft leather, then settles on the skin as a warm woody-amber accord.

The fragrance reflects the character of Chloé, the Parisian house founded by Gaby Aghion in 1952.

The brand's history is tied to a free-spirited, romantic sensibility and a reimagining of luxury through prêt-à-porter, while Cedrus Intense brings a deeper, more textured and gender-neutral expression to this aesthetic.

Olfactory pyramid and development

The olfactory profile combines leather and woody motifs.

The composition also belongs to the amber, citrus, green, leather and woody note families, so it feels fresh, dry and warm all at once.

At the opening, Cedrus Intense unfolds with a cool blend of citrus sparkle and green freshness. A leather nuance emerges at the heart, not sharp but smooth and refined.

The base becomes calmer and deeper: woody notes, amber and vetiver create a dry, slightly earthy finish with the soft creaminess of sandalwood.

Wearability and sillage

Chloé Cedrus Intense suits women and men who prefer distinctive, restrained compositions without overt sweetness.

It is a fragrance for the office, walks, business meetings and relaxed evening outings, especially fitting in cool spring, autumn and winter weather.

The composition has a subtle sillage, so it stays close to the skin and does not overwhelm the surrounding space.

For a comfortable development, 1 to 2 sprays on the skin or 1 to 2 sprays on clothing are enough; the woody-leather accent may last longer on fabric.

What to compare Cedrus Intense with

Those drawn to the idea of dry woods and leathery depth should explore Dior Fahrenheit, The Spirit of Dubai Bahar and Mugler A*Men Pure Leather.

Cedrus Intense stands out, however, for its more intimate character and its careful balance of green freshness, leather and dry cedar.

If you are looking for a modern unisex fragrance with character but without excessive projection, this eau de parfum may become an expressive everyday choice.

Its strength lies in its textured development, in which natural freshness gradually gives way to warm woody depth.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I absolutely love what Quentin Bisch does. I hope this fragrance eventually makes it to us, I really want to test it 😍😍😍

You read about Chinese cedar, Australian sandalwood and Indian vetiver, then realize: there are no countries in this fragrance, just a standard set of chemical components. Though it does sound grand. Honestly, I know more interesting things from Bisch. Here it's soft, delicate leather with a pinkish tint, although there's no rose in the pyramid. The base sits very quietly on the skin. Nothing like Guidance at all

This fragrance for me is dried flowers, hay, grass, no sweetness, but the laurel leaf creates a tasty smell. Some say dill and pickle brine, I hear laurel. Over time it became like Santal 33. It lasts long. Love it

A very successful fragrance, both this version and its softer counterpart. They both smell harmonious, everything is put together neatly and there are no unnecessary notes. I think it would easily suit both men and women<br>
