Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Play Green evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Comme des Garçons Parfums is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Aromatic, Citrus, Fruit and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Balsamic and Wood. At family level the composition sits in Aromatic.

In the first seconds you sense sweet-fresh fruity opening notes: Juniper berries, Lime and Peppermint.

In the central layer you detect Basil, Jasmine and Mastic Tree keeping a noble herbal direction.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Wood without random overlap. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Middle suggests confident staying power.

Overall Play Green reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Low (1 to 2 hours)
2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell I'm getting reminds me of mint, and they've also added lemon balm. It's not exactly a perfume, but the herbal scent is truly refreshing. I need it

This is just awful! The smell of pine needles, mint, and basil - so what? There's a hint of lime, sure, but that doesn't save it. The scent doesn't last on a T-shirt, as promised, and jasmine is totally superfluous here. All these green notes don't add up to anything worthwhile. I don't understand how anyone can love and recommend this. A complete disappointment!

This fragrance isn't impressive, especially if you recall Play Black or even Red. In reality, it resembles a regular herbal tea with mint and light notes of green citruses. While it's pleasant and refreshing, from CdG, one would expect something more original, something memorable

The green color is really captured perfectly here! Pine needles with a tart hint and lime - that's something unusual and memorable! DELIGHTFUL!
