Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Energy C Lime is shaped as a living composition, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Comme des Garçons Parfums is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette sets the right density and pace of development.

Right at the start you catch radiant lemon-bergamot opening notes: Bergamot, Lemon and Lime. Exactly these 3 notes set sunny vitality that is impossible to miss.

In the central layer you meet Jasmine, Lily and Rose holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Amber enrich the profile without taking over.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Citrus, Whiteflower, Floral and Ambery. It also reaches into Wood and Musk. From a family perspective the composition sits in Citrus.

Overall Energy C Lime sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I can't say this fragrance impressed me. For such a price, I expected something more interesting, but it's just banality. Yes, Jo Malone also has fragrances that aren't brilliant in originality, but for some reason, they're always praised. I don't understand what the deal is

The scent is, of course, very one-sided. How is it possible that for such a price it only smells of lemon zest?! It's simply disproportionately expensive. It's pleasant to inhale, but the thought of buying it didn't even cross my mind

Lime with lemon, that's it, nothing more. After a couple of hours, some faded rose appears, but it's so timid it's barely noticeable. For hot weather, of course, the scent isn't bad, the citruses are natural and juicy, but without sweetness, even with a hint of bitterness. In the stuffy city heat, it's like a breath of fresh air, but don't be fooled, it disappears quickly. The downside is that it only lasts three or four hours, so you have to reapply it constantly 😤
