The Fragrance's History and Character

Dolce & Gabbana Q Elixir is a women's perfume in Parfum (Extrait) concentration, released in 2026.

The fragrance continues the story of the Q by Dolce & Gabbana collection, revealing its richer, more sensual and more evening-oriented side.

The composition is built around an expressive fruity-floral duo complemented by mossy depth.

Q Elixir was created for a woman who enjoys noticeable yet delicate fragrances with an elegant character and a beautiful development on the skin.

The collection's name and design refer to the image of a modern queen: confident, feminine and free to choose her own style.

At the same time, the fragrance does not strive to be overly powerful; its mood is rather intimate, seductive and cinematic.

Notes and Development

The top note of Q Elixir is cherry, giving the composition a juicy, slightly tart and alluring opening.

Jasmine grandiflorum emerges at the heart, its soft white-floral character making the scent rounder and more feminine.

Oakmoss supports the composition in the base.

It adds an earthy nuance, a gentle coolness and a sense of refined depth, allowing the fruity opening to gradually become calmer and more elegant.

The result is a harmonious combination of fruity, white-floral and earthy mossy accords.

On the skin, the fragrance unfolds smoothly, moving from a bright cherry note to an airy floral heart and a restrained mossy finish.

Wearability and Sillage

Q Elixir is positioned as a women's fragrance that feels especially natural in autumn, winter and cool spring days.

It can be chosen for a date, dinner, an intimate event or an evening walk when you want to add sensuality to your look without excessive intensity.

The perfume has a subtle sillage, making the composition suitable for those who prefer a personal, unobtrusive scent.

On the skin, it is enough to apply the fragrance so that you can step into its scented cloud; for clothing, 2–3 sprays from a short distance are ideal.

Connection to the Brand

Dolce & Gabbana Q Elixir reflects the signature aesthetic of Dolce & Gabbana, where sensuality meets Italian expressiveness and attention to the feminine image.

The house, founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, has long embraced contrasts: brightness and refinement, passion and elegance.

In this composition, the contrast is built especially subtly: juicy cherry meets delicate jasmine before giving way to oakmoss.

This development makes the fragrance distinctive in mood yet versatile enough for a variety of situations.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I have the first three fragrances from this line, and I love them dearly. Because of their caps, which resemble patriarchal mitres, I call them my Alexias. I was especially excited for this elixir, but after testing it I was disappointed. Flat, plasticky, creamy and completely characterless. Maybe I’ll try it again later, but the first three were different: I liked them immediately, and within a minute I was already looking for the checkout
