Fragrance information:

Imagine a fragrance that embodies all the luxury and passion of Italian Baroque in one bottle.

Dolce & Gabbana The One Baroque is a sensual journey, released in 2018, that instantly captivates hearts with its sophistication and depth.

As part of the iconic The One collection, this perfume continues the tradition of elegance, adding notes of richness and ornamentality, perfectly reflecting its name.

Identity and history of the one baroque

Founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the brand Dolce & Gabbana has been renowned since its early days for bold, sensual images, and The One Baroque is no exception.

This fragrance, introduced in 2018, became a vibrant addition to the The One line, known for its feminine and captivating compositions.

The name "Baroque" hints at excess and luxury, which fully matches the rich palette of notes, making this release perfect for those seeking something special and memorable.

Positioning and wearability

The One Baroque is classified as a female fragrance, created for self-confident girls and women who appreciate elegance with a touch of boldness.

With eau de toilette concentration, it offers balanced longevity, ideal for daily wear or evening outings.

Its very strong sillage ensures long-lasting presence, leaving behind a trail of sensuality, so it is recommended to apply it moderately — for example, 2-3 sprays on the skin or clothing for optimal effect.

If you liked this fragrance, pay attention to similar options: Dolce & Gabbana The One, Dolce & Gabbana The One Eau de Toilette and Yves Saint Laurent Capeline, which also delight with their compositions.

Authors and influence

Behind the creation of The One Baroque is the talented perfumer Michel Girard, whose experience allowed him to skillfully blend tradition and innovation.

His work reflects the DNA of the brand Dolce & Gabbana — passion for beauty and details, making the fragrance a significant contribution to the perfumery heritage of the house.

Belonging to the Oriental and Floral families emphasizes its versatility: oriental notes give warmth and mystery, while floral chords add freshness and tenderness, creating the perfect balance for the modern woman.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of The One Baroque begins with a sparkling chord of top notes: bergamot flower, lychee, mandarin and peach, which give a juicy, fruity freshness on first impression.

In the heart of the composition, rich floral and woody shades unfold: gorse, jasmine, lily, lily-of-the-valley, neroli and ylang-ylang, creating a sensual and elegant bouquet.

The base of the fragrance is strengthened by warm and earthy notes: amber, moss, vanilla, vetiver and musk, which provide longevity and depth, leaving an unforgettable trail.

This dynamic development makes the perfume lively and multifaceted on the skin, perfectly suited for those who appreciate complex and emotional compositions.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Has anyone tried this flanker yet? Write about it, I'm curious! We don't have it here, and I don't see it in Europe either 😕

I can't say I'm familiar with this version. But the bottle really does look stylish, that's true. It would be interesting to hold it and examine the details closely ✨

In my opinion, this version doesn't stand out from the rest at all. The only thing that catches the eye is the bottle with some kind of antique pattern, but essentially, there's nothing new 😒

I was very curious, but couldn't find it until my husband brought it back from a trip. I think it all seems similar, but I started noticing floral notes in it, even though all previous reviews were about vanilla peaches 🌸

WHERE?! Was this flanker even in stores? Or do they only show it in pictures? The design, of course, looks chic, but that doesn't mean the fragrance is the same. If it's no different from the classic, then why buy it? What's the point then?
