Description of the composition

Note Pyramid of Gritti Damascus

The composition of Gritti Damascus begins with a bright and spicy chord, where orange brings freshness, cinnamon adds warmth, and neroli introduces delicate floral notes.

In the heart of the fragrance, deep and balsamic tones unfold: myrrh creates a resinous base, sandalwood adds creamy softness, and tobacco brings smoky and woody accents.

The base of the fragrance is built on amber, which provides warmth and longevity, and patchouli, ensuring earthy and musky notes.

This balance of spicy, woody, and balsamic elements makes Gritti Damascus a complex and multifaceted perfume that gradually unfolds on the skin, offering a unique olfactory journey.

Note groups, including balsamic, floral, spicy, and woody, harmoniously combine, creating a cohesive and memorable image.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

This fragrance is again from the oriental line, but created by Europeans. At first, it reminds me of something from Montale, but as it develops, its unique features emerge. Sometimes it's worth using it depending on your mood 🌸

The scent is interesting, of course, but it has plenty of analogues. It feels like it's just copied from another one. At first, I thought it was something with ginger, but no. Cinnamon and spices. Overall, it smells nice, but you can hardly call it unique. Easy to confuse with Montale creations

The fragrance is really soft, with sunny notes where you can feel cinnamon and citrus. This combination sounds very interesting and warm. It definitely belongs to niche perfumes, and I would recommend trying it )

The name, of course, might make you think of Damask rose, but don't be fooled - this is just another example of how good citruses with spices can be. Oranges with cinnamon are already well-known, but here resins are added to them - so rounded and warm that the result turns out even more interesting than expected. For those who value longevity and not-too-intrusive sillage - if you put it on before going out, you'll still feel it on your skin in the morning. Overall, not too bad, but not a masterpiece either. AWFUL!
