Identity and Release History

The fragrance Floraïku One Umbrella for Two, released in 2017, is a perfume water from the niche house Floraïku.

This brand, founded by Clara and John Molloy, known for creating Memo Paris, draws inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, which is reflected in the Secret Teas and Spices collection to which the fragrance belongs.

One Umbrella for Two is part of a journey into the world of delicate tea and spicy notes characteristic of this line, symbolizing unity and harmony, as the name implies.

Positioning and Wearability

This fragrance is positioned as unisex, making it ideal for any gender seeking a fresh and inspiring perfume.

The concentration perfume water ensures longevity and depth, with a medium trail that gently envelops without being intrusive, suitable for various scenarios: from everyday wear to special occasions.

For optimal application, it is recommended 1 to 2 sprays on the skin to reveal all facets, and enter the cloud when applied to clothing for a lighter and airier effect, ideal on cool days or to create an aura.

Notes and Families

The fragrance composition is built on a combination of notes from the fruity, green, and woody groups, which classifies it into the fougère and fruity families.

Key notes include black currant, tea, and white cedar, creating a unique harmony that unfolds in layers, offering fruity freshness, green astringency, and woody warmth.

Authors and Influence

The creation of the fragrance was overseen by the talented perfumer Alienor Massenet, whose experience brought elegance and balance to One Umbrella for Two.

This release strengthens Floraïku's reputation as a brand that combines French perfumery art with Japanese motifs, offering fragrances for niche perfume enthusiasts, and demonstrates how travels can inspire the creation of unique compositions.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of the fragrance Floraïku One Umbrella for Two begins with a bright top note of black currant, which gives a juicy and fresh start, reminiscent of the first drops of rain.

In the heart of the composition, a delicate note of tea unfolds, adding a slight astringency and coziness, like a cup of hot drink on a cold day.

The base note of white cedar provides a warm and woody foundation, creating a lasting and harmonious finish.

This combination allows the fragrance to develop smoothly on the skin, from the fruity initial burst to the tea core and woody conclusion, ideally suited for those who appreciate layered compositions.

Each layer of notes complements the other, creating a holistic and memorable experience.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Oh, how I adore blackcurrant! 🍇 First, there's a sweetness, like you're eating jam, and then the scent becomes lighter, reminiscent of fresh berries with tea. It's simply a feast for the senses! 🎉 The fragrance is really long-lasting, but you need to be careful not to overdo it. All in all, it's a real find for gourmands! 😊

This scent impressed me so much that I couldn't resist adding it to my collection. It reminds me of a dessert, like a blueberry pastry, and at the same time has notes of tea. It creates the feeling that you're in a cozy coffee shop or bakery, where blueberry muffins are baked and freshly brewed green tea is served. Its longevity is moderate, and the sillage isn't too strong either, but outdoors, especially in the wind, I sometimes still catch its notes 🍰

I agree with the girls, it really does smell like tea with blackcurrant leaves. It's pleasant, and it smells natural. But damn, it just lacks something brighter, so that this feeling doesn't slip away

For everyone who appreciates tea with berries, this fragrance will be a true discovery. It gives a feeling of warmth and coziness, as if embracing you on a cold evening. On holidays, it's simply indispensable, creating an atmosphere of magic and joy 🎉

The pyramid lists blackcurrant, but I actually smell blackberry - so sour, tart, with a slight bitterness. And the green tea, it's so rich, as if brewed in an old wooden mug. It's just a shame the scent doesn't last long

There's definitely something wrong with my nose, because this fragrance is just awful. I don't smell any blackcurrant, and don't even get me started on the tea. After spraying, it hits your nose with its sharpness, the smell is just weird, simply shocking. It's not blackcurrant, but something like rotten marigolds. Over time, it calms down a bit, and something resembling shortbread pie appears. But it's a pie with an unpleasant sweet-sour aftertaste. The scent is intrusive and cloying, I tried applying it in different weather, but every time I just want to wash it off quickly, otherwise I start to feel nauseous. I put it away, maybe I'll try it again in winter, just in case something changes 🌼

The perfume truly impresses with its presentation, that's undeniable. The fragrance, in my opinion, has a pronounced gourmand note, reminiscent of something sweet, like a freshly baked pie or cookie. I detect coffee nuances and possibly something of cocoa, though I'm not sure if immortelle is in the composition. The sillage unfolds with green and floral notes, and from a distance, it sounds much more interesting. I think this fragrance can definitely be called unisex. One umbrella for two, as they say

This Umbrella for Two is simply impressive! The fragrance is fresh, but not too sharp. Tea with blackcurrant leaf, the softness of a rice note, the brightness of cyclamen, cedar, and musk create an interesting combination. It's hard to categorize it, it truly smells niche 🌟

The fragrance is bright, berry-like, with tea notes. Green tea pairs perfectly with a blueberry pie made from shortcrust pastry 😀 Sometimes the blueberry turns into blackcurrant, as indicated in the pyramid, but it's fresh, not jammy. The berries look amazing, but the tea note isn't my cup of tea, so I'm giving it 4 stars. The fragrance is long-lasting and leaves a trail

I like Floraiku for their simplicity and elegance. They don't try to please everyone, without unnecessary glamor or pretense. These fragrances are genuine, sincere, and warm. Umbrella, for example, smells like tea with a blueberry pastry. It's like an everyday joy, like a good smile that brightens your mood

This isn't just tea with leaves, but real fresh berries, sweet and juicy, like clusters reaching for the ground. The scent is beautiful, but it's more suitable for youth and clearly feminine. There's something light about it, yet at the same time sad, as if it reminds you of something lost ))

The scent reminds me of tea with a blueberry muffin. This berry note really adds a special zest; without it, the fragrance would be too simple and even boring. It creates a feeling of coziness and warmth, as if embracing you. Comfortable and pleasant, the kind you want to wear again and again

Somehow too delicate a scent, as if from Asia. Tea-like, fresh, but lacking depth. I prefer richer compositions, but this one has its own sophistication, which sometimes turns out to be more important than any intricacies. New tea from Black Morale - that's what can be said about this perfume 😔

Blackcurrant leaf tea reminds me of summer evenings at the dacha, sitting on the veranda. It's a bit tart, with a light spiciness, and truly relaxing. This scent seems to transport you to a world of memories, creating an atmosphere of meditation. Cedar adds an evening coolness, and, honestly, it's great for both men and women
