Identity and History of Eau de Bonheur

In the world of perfumery, where every bottle holds its own story, Fragonard Eau de Bonheur emerges as the embodiment of happiness and Provençal charm.

Released in 2005, this fragrance instantly won the hearts of connoisseurs, offering a fresh perspective on classic elegance.

As part of eau de toilette, it perfectly balances lightness and longevity, creating a sense of carefree joy.

The brand Fragonard, with its rich heritage rooted in the lavender fields of Provence, brings the spirit of authentic French perfumery to Eau de Bonheur.

Founded in 1926, the house is renowned for its masterful compositions, and this fragrance is no exception, harmoniously weaving into the Pouches Collection, which symbolizes refinement and practicality.

Positioning and Character of the Fragrance

Eau de Bonheur is created specifically for women who value freshness and naturalness in everyday life.

Its middle trail provides a delicate presence without overwhelming others, making it ideal for the office, dates, or walks.

Belonging to the Floral and Green families, the fragrance combines the tenderness of flowers with the energy of greenery, creating a versatile look for any season.

Thanks to its concentration, Eau de Bonheur is easy to apply and gradually unfolds on the skin, offering long hours of enjoyment.

For optimal effect, it is recommended to apply it to pulse points such as wrists and neck, allowing the notes to evolve naturally throughout the day.

Authorship and Influence on the Perfume World

Behind the creation of this inspiring fragrance is the talented perfumer Loc Dong, whose style is known for the ability to combine traditional elements with modern accents.

His work on Eau de Bonheur reflects a deep understanding of natural ingredients, bringing notes of Provençal summer and serenity into the composition.

This release strengthened Fragonard's reputation as a brand capable of creating accessible luxury perfumery that resonates with a wide audience.

Eau de Bonheur stands out among similar fragrances, such as Dior Addict (2014), Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege Pour Homme and Maison Martin Margiela Matcha Meditation, with its special freshness and emotional depth, making it a desirable addition to any perfume collection.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Eau de Bonheur begins with a refreshing chord of top notes: basil, bergamot, lime and mandarin, which provide an instant burst of citrus freshness and greenery.

At the heart of the composition, delicate floral shades unfold: magnolia, jasmine and neroli, complemented by cozy mate, creating an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility.

The base notes, including cedar, mate, sandalwood and vanilla, add depth and longevity, smoothly transitioning from floral lightness to a woody-sweet finish.

This layered structure allows the fragrance to develop dynamically on the skin, maintaining a balance between freshness and sensuality throughout the day.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The greenery is very bright, and the flowers create a rich bouquet. Unfortunately, on the skin, it becomes too soapy. Longevity is not impressive, so it's worth approaching its testing carefully

The fragrance resembles the freshness of a meadow after rain, when nature is just waking up. It has a hint of strong oriental tea, as well as a light honeyed sweetness. The scent is indeed rich and tart, sometimes even a bit sharp, but that's what gives it character. For me, that's more of a plus. This perfume can be worn by both men and women, but it will best reveal itself on summer days or, at the very least, in early autumn

Too much greenery here. It's just an overkill, it sounds too bright. If it calmed down a bit, it would be a wonderful floral-green fragrance with a light creamy accent, so delicate and airy

I was looking for a "meadow and field scent," and then I stumbled upon this perfume. I realized it's not so easy to try it in person. They say you can at a rendezvous, but ordering it blind is a bit scary. The bottle, by the way, is very cute! Totally in the spirit of Provence)

I brought this fragrance from Grasse, from the Fragonard factory. Choosing was a real challenge - there were so many options, and none of the scents were familiar to me. The smell is light, reminiscent of a spring meadow, slightly sweetish. More of a unisex scent. Longevity is excellent. All the notes of the composition are well-perceived and unfold beautifully, and among them are my favorites: sandalwood, jasmine, and bergamot

I bought this fragrance at a perfume museum in Paris, and it surprised me. I cherished every drop like a treasure. Its freshness is definitely noticeable, but there's something deeper than Kenzo Leaupar. The fruity notes clearly stand out, but it's not immediately clear whether one likes it or not. For spring and summer, it seems to be a perfect fit, but there's some mystery to it

What a cool fragrance! But there are difficulties with buying it, it's hard to test it before getting it. And I really want to try it on myself… ))

Fragonard, of course, brings me a lot of positive emotions, but this fragrance is a complete flop. Compared to their other perfumes, which are truly inspiring, this one just looks pathetic. It gives the impression that it was made just for show - some inexpressive greenery that smells more like an air freshener than a real Fragonard perfume!!! Honestly, I'm disappointed
