Fragrance information:

2014: the world took its first breath of Drakkar Essence Guy Laroche. This is a masculine fragrance rooted in the fern, wood, and aromatic families. Perfumer Michel Girard poured every ounce of mastery into this one. A fragrance from the Drakkar collection, in eau de toilette.

The sillage is very delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. It's quite fleeting: longevity is very low, so feel free to reapply generously. Country of origin — France: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. Drakkar Essence Guy Laroche unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The composition of Drakkar Essence evolves as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Guy Laroche comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Gourmet and Musc without random overlap. Additional accords such as Wood enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Very low points to a sustained drydown presence. In trail behavior Very weak describes the way the scent radiates.

In the first seconds you meet sparkling citrus opening notes: Grapefruit and Mint.

In the heart you detect Lavender, Sage and Woody Accord keeping a pure leafy direction.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Citrus, Aromatic, Green and Wood. The framework further includes Spicy and Musk.

In summary Drakkar Essence reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best experienced in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Extremely low (up to 1 hour)
1
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Extremely inconspicuous
1
Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This cologne, minty-spicy, is completely forgettable. It sounds masculine, of course, but too simple. Sporty style, yes, but it only evokes nostalgia for the bygone two thousands
