Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

When the October wind starts tearing the last leaves from the trees, and they roll down the streets, it's worth remembering scents with immortelle. This fragrance, with its balsamic sweetness, is full of different nuances: leathery, floral, woody, and even fruity. One of the fragrances I really like is 1740 Marquis de Sade by Histoires de Parfums. It's certainly woody-leathery, but immortelle plays the main role here - sweet, viscous, and golden, surrounded by patchouli, labdanum, vanilla, and birch tar. Many fragrances with immortelle exist, but most often they are either niche or from boutique collections of luxury brands

The leather is really high-quality. But with the scent, there can be nuances - depending on the year of release, it can be either leathery or have herbal notes that are slightly balsamic. In any case, there's no reason to be upset, because each version has its own advantages!

Marquis de Sade is simply a must-have for those who adore leather fragrances. The leather here is really tough and provocative, but made from high-quality natural raw materials-patchouli, immortelle, birch tar, and so on. The creamy vanilla accord contrasts perfectly with the leather, adding softness and sweetness. Musk here has retro notes, giving the fragrance a special charm. Patchouli only enhances this feeling. Tobacco adds clarity and structure to the entire composition. Simply beautiful, nothing less. I only caught the bergamot once, when I opened the package with the box in cellophane. And even through the thick cardboard and packaging, its scent was noticeable

Immortelle and wormwood - that's a combination that truly impresses. The sensuality of the fragrance is felt immediately. The notes of leather and patchouli give it sexiness, and the sweet bitterness is reminiscent of brown sugar, creating an interesting contrast. The sillage turns out simply magnificent )

It's something like prune and leather with immortelle. I like the fragrance, even more than I can say about myself. I don't wear it often, but I hold the bottle in my hands frequently. This is my first fragrance that I consciously chose. Memories full of sentimentality are tied to it. Every year I wait for the coldest winter day to feel Marquis on myself again.

Immortelle, powder, leather. Strict and a bit cold, with spicy and tar notes. This is definitely unisex, no gender here. The fragrance is certainly interesting, it has its own unique character, but whether I like it or not - I can't say yet 🤔

The fragrance is quite aggressive and persistent, more suitable for men. But if a woman has a strong character, for example, a leader of a large company, she can definitely wear it. Very beautiful, with a tart, spicy, and green scent, and the finish is simply gorgeous - a bright leathery one

I was choosing a gift for a friend and stumbled upon this fragrance. At first I wasn't sure, but now I can definitely say - I made the right choice!

This bergamot fragrance is simply chic, like delicate lace on a dark background. It envelops you with the sweetness of labdanum, and truly, it makes your head spin, like a good strong drink. Patchouli adds an interesting musty note, and rough leather gives it an unusual sound. I like it, but haven't decided to buy it yet

Marquis de Sade 1740, in my opinion, deserves not just praise, but true delight. This fragrance left me with only positive emotions. It's truly balanced and harmonious. Everything is in moderation here: tobacco, exotic spices, and leather. I'm sure it will also suit women who appreciate classic fragrances with such notes

On me, this perfume is distinctly masculine. It smells like luxurious, dense leather, and also reminds me of expensive cognac. And it also has notes of freshly cut hay. This is a truly successful combination, creating an interesting image. DELIGHT!

Smoky leather, bergamot, and patchouli. At first glance, it might seem like a common combination. But no, the fragrance truly surprises. It entices and intrigues, unfolding with each passing minute. Brutality and masculinity are paramount here, no unnecessary emotions. Initially, the powerful scent of leather brings to mind a new jacket or boots, but in a good way, of course. Smoked leather, natural and slightly incensed, combined with juicy bergamot creates an interesting effect. And the aromas of artemisia, coriander, and cardamom sound like something magical, like an intoxicating drink from a fairy tale. This feeling of melancholy and deep sadness permeates the entire fragrance ))

Hello, niche perfume lovers! Today I want to talk about "1740 Marquis de Sade." At first, it seems simple, but in reality, there are many layers here. The top notes are gourmand, and they are truly intriguing. I smell absinthe, so fresh and spicy, with smoky nuances and lemon. It's like stepping into a banya, where everything around is filled with herbs and bath brooms.

The sillage is simply amazing - dense and long-lasting, it leaves an incredible feeling behind. I close my eyes and see a samovar with tea, oriental sweets on the table. And then there's this feeling when wormwood envelops you, unexpected and mysterious. I can't figure out if I like it or not, but it definitely doesn't leave me indifferent ))))

A fragrance dedicated to a writer with his peculiarities truly sparks interest. I immediately wanted to try it. The first sniff reminded me of "Sashka" cologne, and images came to mind: a smell as if from a jar of olives, leathery, smoky, and a little bit smoked. It sounds quite unusual and even brutal. I'm not afraid to wear such fragrances, but it seems I need more time to understand it. It lasts a very long time on the wrist, projects excellently, so I'm glad I got 15 ml - that'll last a while 😌

The fragrance is really interesting. Lots of spices, it reminds me of something from oriental compositions, but with a slight hint of something strange, as if something mysterious is lingering in the air. It has notes that can evoke unexpected associations, for example, a slight mustiness, as if old bandages are lying nearby. Musky leather adds provocation, creating an atmosphere of mystery. I can't figure out if I like it or not, but it definitely attracts
