Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Vici is built as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Histoires de Parfums is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Fairy, Green, Aromatic and Spicy. It also reaches into Balsamic, Floral, Wood and Fruit.

In the first seconds you catch fresh green top notes: Aldehydes, Angelica, Basil and Galbanum.

In the heart you sense Celery, Frankincense, Iris, Lavender and Osmanthus carrying a cool herbal direction.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Balsamic, Aromatic, Floral and Fruit with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Musc, Wood, Powdery and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

Overall Vici reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I didn't notice any oddities in this fragrance either. I seem to smell suede, even though it's not in the pyramid. There's a certain softness, a velvety quality, and that's probably the only positive point for me. Otherwise, it's somewhat rough, green, with a bitterness and a smoky undertone 🤔
