Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Vidi is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The style of Histoires de Parfums is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

As soon as the fragrance opens you sense piquant warm first notes: Cardamom and Ozone. Exactly these 2 notes build voluminous spicy depth that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you notice Aquatic accord, Cyclamen, Rose and Saffron holding a opulent floral direction.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Balsamic, Aquatic, Abstract and Floral with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Musc, Wood, Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Spicy, Mineral, Floral and Animals. It also reaches into Balsamic, Gourmet, Wood and Musk. At family level the composition sits in Fern, Floral and Spicy.

Overall Vidi sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This perfume didn't impress me at all. There are truly wonderful cucumber scents that add freshness and a unique twist. But Vidi is something strange, like someone poured out old pickle brine. There are no flowers in it, just a sour taste. My husband even called it "Drunkard's Morning" :(

Last year I encountered another unusual fragrance. It's really strange, and I wouldn't wear it, but at the same time, it attracts attention. Spicy and woody notes, with a bitter powdery undertone - that's how you can describe it. Although I personally can't stand such bitterness, observing it from afar is quite interesting 😏
