Fragrance information:

1996: the world took its first breath of Eau de Coriandre Jean Couturier. A feminine fragrance from the green, wood, and floral families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Jacqueline Couturier. From the Coriandre collection; released as eau de toilette.

It has a delicate sillage, staying close and personal. Longevity is on the low side — a good excuse to refresh it throughout the day. Produced in France, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Eau de Coriandre is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The style of Jean Couturier comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

In the top tier you catch radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Bergamot, Galbanum, Mate and Pineapple.

At the core of development you notice Freesia, Lily of the Valley, Marigold, Peach, Peony and Violet leaf carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Wood and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Low indicates a stable lasting impression.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Green, Fruit and Floral. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Spicy, Wood and Musk.

In summary Eau de Coriandre holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Low (1 to 2 hours)
2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This eau de toilette is more like an cologne than a full-fledged perfume. I liked the original much more than this flanker. Honestly, the aldehydic-floral scent fades very quickly. At the start, orange blossom is felt, although it's not in the composition, perhaps due to the bright and stylish retro design of the bottle. In the base, aldehydes and soapy notes are noticeable, but after half an hour, I don't smell it at all. In the end, I left it on my dressing table to scent linens. This smell feels like it transports you to the 50s
