Scents of eras: how perfume reflects the spirit of the times
Every era has its own scent. Not literally, but in how it felt: what it wanted, what it feared, what...
Nectary joined the Jorum Studio portfolio in 2019. Perfumer Euan McCall is the author behind this composition. One of the scents from the Progressive Botany collection.
Made in the United Kingdom. Nectary Jorum Studio unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.
The fragrance is very long-lasting, staying on the skin for 12 hours or more, gradually revealing its notes
The scent will linger in the air even after its wearer has left.
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The composition of Nectary is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The style of Jorum Studio is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction.
In a unified mixed pyramid the notes arrive together with a vibrant animalic mood: Castoreum, Civet, Cranberry, Frankincense, Grey Ambergris, Labdanum and Oud. In this case 7 notes sound as one voice, creating distinctive animalic edge that keeps the opening compact and balanced.
The deeper layers are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.
The accord profile rests on these accords: Animalistic, Balsamic, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Musc, Wood and Amber add depth to the backdrop.
From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Animals, Fruit, Balsamic and Wood. The palette also extends to Green, Floral and Musk.
Overall Nectary reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best judged through real development.
