Lalique Soleil Lunar — the fragrance of moonlight

Lalique Soleil Lunar is a women's eau de parfum launched in 2024 by the French house Lalique, a brand with a legendary reputation in the worlds of crystal, jewellery and perfumery.

This floral fragrance combines the radiant freshness of citrus, the airy softness of white flowers and a sensual musky-ambery depth.

Lalique Soleil Lunar has a modern, elegant character. It does not try to be overly sweet or heavy, instead unfolding gradually and shifting in mood from a sparkling opening to a soft, enveloping finish.

The fragrance will appeal to women who enjoy floral perfumes with green, spicy and subtly animalic nuances.

Character and development on the skin

In the first few minutes, Soleil Lunar draws attention with a fresh mandarin accord, delicate magnolia and a piquant touch of pink pepper.

The opening is bright, lively and slightly cool, making the fragrance easy to imagine as part of daytime looks, for a walk, meeting friends or an office setting.

As it develops, ambrette emerges at the heart of the composition, adding a velvety green softness.

Heliotrope makes the scent gentler and creamier, while selenicereus, known as the “queen of the night”, gives the floral heart a more mysterious, evening-like mood.

The final accords are built around grey amber, moss and musk.

They give the eau de parfum a noticeable, distinctive trail and help it retain a feeling of soft warmth after the bright top notes have quieted down.

On the skin, the fragrance smells more intimate, while on clothing it may come across as more expressive and long-lasting.

Wearability and dosage

Lalique Soleil Lunar is suitable for spring, summer and early autumn, especially when you want a floral fragrance with a clean yet non-sterile character.

During the day, it feels composed and polished, while in an evening look it reveals a more sensual side thanks to amber, musk and mossy nuances.

The fragrance has a noticeable trail, so it is best to start with a moderate application: 1–2 sprays on the skin are enough.

You can apply 2–3 sprays to clothing, taking care with light-coloured and delicate fabrics. This allows the composition to remain expressive without overwhelming the surrounding space.

The database does not list other concentrations of Lalique Soleil Lunar or the perfumer's name, so it is impossible to compare the versions accurately or identify the author of the composition.

It is known that the fragrance belongs to the floral family and combines floral, citrus, green, spicy, musky, mossy and animalic notes.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

At first I smell mandarin and pink pepper, while the sweetness reminds me of berry syrup. Then the fragrance becomes softer: creamy floral powder appears, along with magnolia, heliotrope and musk with a slight warmth. Feminine but not simple, with a distinctive twist. Good longevity and sillage too

At the opening, yet another Baccarat, especially in the trail, and I don't like that kind of thing. Then flowers unfold, already tender and quite sweet. If you smell the application spot, there are flowers with a fruity touch, but the trail still reminds me of a lighter Baccarat)
