Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Hard Leather is built as a living composition, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of LM Parfums comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract sets the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Leather, Drinks, Sweet and Floral. The palette also extends to Wood, Balsamic and Gourmet.

In the top tier you catch suede-spicy first notes: Leather accord and Rum.

In the heart you detect Honey and Iris keeping a praline-sweet direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Gourmet, Wood and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Leather, Spicy and Alcoholic add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration High suggests confident staying power.

Overall Hard Leather sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Mon amour. It all started somewhat strangely: on one hand, it always attracted me, and on the other, I didn't know how to wear it. In the end, leaving all doubts and fears behind, we found common ground. Gradually, our friendship grew into something more. This is truly an amazing fragrance that might seem intimidating at first glance, but such warmth is hidden within it! This small bottle holds true magic, an elixir of joy and care that helps cope with emotional turmoil and minor life troubles. Hard Leather became a real discovery for me after Black Oud, Sensual Orchid, Vol d'Hirondelle, and Ambre Muscadin, which already stood out among other niche brands. Rum, iris, leather, oud - how magnificently this is done! Behind this work stands a true master of their craft, who poured their soul and all their experience not only into the brand's concept but also into themselves. This fragrance will live in my heart forever, it can be worn in the cold, in warmth, even in the heat. For me, it is perfect and embodies everything I love about niche perfumery. In the end, I'll just say: "Hard Leather forever! Thank you for existing!"

Mood: leather jacket and a cold heart. On the playlist are albums that seemingly shouldn't be so modern for their time: Bowie's Low, The Cure's Faith, Nine Inch Nails' Pretty Hate Machine, Depeche Mode's Black Celebration and Violator. Finally, the temperature is 7 °C: time to experiment with leather, suede, lacquer, and vinyl, inspired by the looks of Martin Gore, Robert Smith, and the Reid brothers. The Smiths with their daffodils and gladioli will wait until summer, but for now, you can softly hum your favorite tracks, catching puzzled glances from passersby. Hard Leather is a daring, sweet-woody, and smoky fragrance that feels like it's turned inside out. It exudes confidence, charisma, and a provocative smirk. Leather with animalistic oud, honeyed sweetness, and a drop of rum, while in the base, iris and sandalwood create a soft, delicate bed, contrasting with its bold opening

If you want real brutality, this isn't for you. The leather is too bright, and the alcoholic nuance is only subtly felt. There's no sweet vanilla here, even if it's listed in the pyramid. It's simply not for those looking for something soft and cozy 😒
