About Eau de Gloire

Introducing Eau de Gloire—a fragrance that transports us to the atmosphere of Corsica’s open landscapes.

Created in 2003 by the niche house Parfum d'Empire, it became part of the L’Héritage Corse collection. More than just a perfume, it is an olfactory journey inspired by the history and nature of Corsica.

Character and mood

The fragrance comes in Eau de Parfum concentration and is positioned as Unisex, making it a versatile choice for anyone who appreciates vibrant, memorable compositions.

Its trail is Very strong, so you are sure to be noticed.

It belongs to the Citrus fragrance family, but its character runs much deeper: sunny notes intertwine with herbal and resinous facets, creating an image of a free and proud island.

A perfumery genius

This masterpiece was created by the brand’s founder, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, a chemist and perfumer with a passion for history.

His philosophy—a journey through time and space—is embodied in every note.

Parfum d'Empire is known as an olfactory historian, and Eau de Gloire is a vivid example of this passion: it unfolds like a hymn to Corsican heritage, blending the scents of maquis, citrus fruits, and Mediterranean herbs.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

This perfume is truly impressive, but in my opinion, it smells quite masculine. First, fresh citrus notes are felt, which quickly transition into a dry herbal bouquet with a predominance of lavender. Then, sweet accents of licorice and immortelle are added to the scent, giving it an interesting nuance. The base reveals bright accords of tobacco and soft leather. The tobacco here is truly high quality, like that of luxury brands. Despite all its merits, for me it still remains masculine. In the end, it smells a bit chypre, noble, and multifaceted, but still… masculine

The name "Water of Glory" is truly impressive and perfectly suits this fragrance. It combines bright southern herbs, fresh citruses, and woody notes that give it a touch of masculinity. The lavender here doesn't evoke any unpleasant associations, and the moss in the base adds depth and moisture. Overall, it all sounds very interesting, although, in my opinion, the fragrance is still a bit too masculine. But despite that, sometimes I wear it when I need to boost my spirits and self-confidence
